You are kinda in my neck of the woods. I have yet to find a bx2200 -bx2230+ for under $7k. If you see one let me know. There's almost as many kubota wanted ads as there is bx's for sale. The ones that are for sale are $9k+ and a lot of times don't have mower deck or fel which I really want.

Thanks for all the replies all of a sudden everyone! Great input.

A little clerification on the slope I'll be traveling is up and down in between my house corner and garage corner, not a side slope.

I mainly just want to shovel as little as possible any more and evending a crazy amount of tris with a tiny bucket should be better for my back if I can recoup 90% of my funds if I upgrade someday.

Tractor House. com A quick look finds a few, some with very low, almost like new hours.

But remember when you see these units? They're grossly over priced and typically, TractorHouse is dealer stock and getting another 500 to 800 off the asking price is very common practice when a buyer shows up with cash. That's how I bought a BX2360, with FEL for thousands off it's original price. It had a whopping 25 hours on the meter. Ginop Sales is a larger, 3 dealership Kubota company here in the northern mitten. Dealers cave pretty quickly on those high listing prices to a ready buyer. The less popular BX2350, with it's harsh hst pedal, is also discounted, or should be, and there's always a bunch of those floating around in dealer's used lots.

That said, a desperate to sell private seller is often even lower. Craigs list has them, but like all things Kubota, they come, they go. Sometimes the listings have a few, other times, nothing for weeks. Older guys pass away and grandma sells the Kubota. It's just the way it is. If you're up for a road trip, here's one: Kubota BX22 - farm & garden - by owner - sale

Sometimes the dealerships "go through" their used units before selling them, or at the time of sale. That's worth something I suppose, but you'll also pay sales tax at a dealership while a private party sale avoids that.

My dad has a BX1500 he bought new, great little tractor and very capable for its size. It is pretty small and you might get frustrated pretty easy moving that much dirt with it though.

It will run a 40-42in tiller an there was a blower available for it which I believe the mounts are the same for the larger bx1800 etc.

One thing about the 1500 is they really seem to hold their value a usually don't stay for sale long when they do come up.

Depending on hrs and condition that price seems decent, usually that package sells for about $7500 here in decent condition with 5-700hrs.

I live on a hillside with some semi level ground. I've owned all of the BXs over the years, even the BX1500. The BX1500 with a MMM was the most stable going across the steep part in front of my home in the BX series but I didn't have a FEL on it. I did have a BX2200 with MMM and FEL and used it for a year tackeling jobs way to big for it but it had heart and would try. Ground clearance being to low on my gullies finally caused me to trade it for a B7800 FEL with rear finish mower. Traded the B7800 after 3 heavy work years to a L3240 FEL and BX1500 MMM for mowing. Best mower in the BX series, bought my SIL one about 3 years ago for mowing. Get my drift? For mowing the BX1500 is grand. The FEL additional weight with such a light weight sub compact utility tractor will be moving into a different world. It will handle a tiller but don't know about snowblowers in Ky.
BP and I have been up and down the BX and B ladder so we do have some experience of actual hands on experience vs doing written research studies and forming opinions from other peoples studies. The bigger BXs aren't actually a lot heavier but some what heavier and in the tractor world weight starts being king or a good thing. I believe I'd hold out for a good used BX22??/BX23?? at about the same or a bit more money if it were me buying for what you say you need/want.
Your right in realizing you'll be able to get most of your money back on a Kubota cared for and not tremendous amount of hours and looks good and maintenance record will bring a premium price.
Not saying the BX1500 won't do the jobs you mentioned but it will be slow and you can get a bit bigger tractor for close to that money that will be a bit more capable and stable and probably easier/quicker to sale if you decide you need more. Check with Barlows, they may have a good one in stock and a delivery scheduled in your area to save shipping and their prices are right.

I actually saw that one yesterday. But that's a significantly more hours than 270 hour bx1500 I'm looking at.
After sleeping on it more and thinking about it, more searching the more I think the bx1500 will be better suited.
Being tight on cash the less I spend the better.
I also don't have the cash for a bigger heavier trailer than my current snowmobile trailer that I just finished fixing up and putting D rings all over to haul 3 atvs at once. The axle is only rated for 2k lb so even the bx1500 with attachments is really pushing it's capacity. I plan to haul the tractor to and from my land 9 miles from my house about once a month just to keep the weeds down, use it to haul wood I cut and spread gravel on the atv trails I'm making for the kids.
If I got a bx2200 or larger the extra weight might be even more unsafe hauling on my trailer. I don't have room for another trailer or the funds and it's set up perfect for my atvs and everything else I use it for being light and all aluminum.

I did more research on lawn grading and scrapped the idea of a tiller I'll use infrequently when I really don't have the funds for one anyways. I'll either rent a small walk behind power aerator or buy a used pull behind. That should be good enough to get my lawn acceptable shape without all the extra work of tilling. I plan on finding or making a cheap box blade for leveling the dirt and gravel I will need. I doubt the bx1500 will have an issue with that as long as it's small enough.
My uncle has a small 4ftx4ftx1ft tall steel trailer I helped him build last year that I could even use for hauling the dirt and gravel behind atv and just use the loader to load, unload it.
We just got a bunch more snow too and a tractor sure would been handy for end of driveway. So far my 14 year old single stage blower has held up but anything has to be better at packed snow than that is.

The front mount blower works great on a coworkers BX1500. He maintains his 3 acre lot with it.

Buy the BX1500, it is more than a glorified lawn mower. That price seems good for a SCUT with a MMM and loader and you will not have problems selling it.

But I bet you will want to keep it. It is a great tractor for when you get much older and have a hard time climbing on a bigger one.
