bx1500 post hole diggers

will a bx 1500 power a post hole digger? I see that Woods has a small unit available. Is the tractor tall enough to use it? Also, how does auger size affect digging effort? I would like to use a big auger, I think I saw a 9 inch diameter available for the smaller digger. Has anyone used a post hole digger to make a small trench by digging many holes in line and cleaning out the extra dirt leftover? I'm thinking that besides fenceposts I might try to use it to install pvc downspout drainage piping 12 to 18 inches deep maybe 100 feet or so on each side of the house.

Haven't tried the trench thing( I have a bx23) but the 1500 should handle a phd easily. I am rarely off idle when using mine.

I have used a Land Pride PD-10 with 9" auger extensively on my BX-1500 and it works great. The tractor has plenty of power for it. The limiting factor on digging speed is the hardness of the soil, since the 3 pt hitch has no down pressure besides gravity.
