WOW!There is some serious brand loyalty here at TBN. I didn't expect to recieve personal attacks from posting my objective experiences and observations.
Well, the truth is, you said some pretty silly things. Not just once and not just with one post, but post after post after post, both here and in the JD forum. You may be new here, but when people here read stuff that makes no sense, they're going to call you on it, regardless of brand loyalty. And they should.
The BX series tractors are advertised as ideal for "Home Mowing, Gardening, Light Material handling, and Towing."
And based on that, you rammed it into a brush pile. And it was your description of that activity that made it sound reckless and as if you were enjoying using the tractor in a reckless way. You even opened this thread saying how you
enjoyed abusing the machine. To most of us, abusing someone else's equipment is not only irresponsible, but downright sorry.
Look, you ask for it on this sight and people are going to give it to you. TBN is a great bunch of folks but they don't call manure Shinola.
Kubota Corp. states on their web site, "Start with the strength and versatility of a compact utility tractor. Blend them with the agile handling and feel of a garden tractor. Reinforce the end product with incomparable reliability."
And more than one BX owner has expressed clearly just how their BX's do just that.
I felt it was underpowered. So did my dealer. So did another dealer according to jcpwrsprt.
Underpowered for what? Sometimes my 45hp 4wd
L4400 won't push over a 10" pine tree. It would be idiotic for me to suggest that it is underpowered based on that experience. The hp on the BX series is published for all to see.
Dear N80, If you are saying that "I had the expectation that it will do jobs that it was neither designed nor made for and experienced an epiphany when they find that it does not perform well at tasks it was not made for." then please explain why the heck Kubota sells the mowers, grass catcher, and tiller for this tractor if the tractor was not made to handle any of it. It didn't handle or feel like a garden tractor either.
I think the other BX owners have already answered that question for you. A better question would be to ask why you are ignoring them.
a skid-steer ? And a 35HP machine - 35 HP for what? To run a three blade mower deck and collection system at the same time?
I suspect he too was referring to you ramming it inot a brush pile. Etc.
Now dear LBrown59 - you should just cool it before you start posting.
Well, he may have been less than diplomatic, but he just said what most of us thought needed to be said anyway.
That said, LB, I was raised on tractors from the cornfields and farms of OHIO.
First, that's great. We all value a seasoned, wise opinion here. But until we hear good valuable opinions, we have no guarantee that your not a 13 year old girl from Manhatten. Its just like anywhere else in life. If you want your opinion respected, render a respectable opinion in a respectable way. You pretty much shot yourself in the foot describing how you abused someone else's tractor.
The Green AWS Garden Tractor won the pulling contest! Yes, we attached them both with a chain and let it RIP!!!! The Deere WON!
OMG. That pretty much says it all doesn't it? We now know all that we need to know.
Get a Deere. Be happy. Entertain the folks in the JD forum.
And when you get you AWS or whatever that is, lets do a tractor pull. Your Deere against my Kubota...after all, comparisons are good right?
