BX1500 Strike THREE - it is OUT

   / BX1500 Strike THREE - it is OUT #51
I've read the entire thread and, while a lot of fun and laughs have eventually been exchanged, the initial posts were not the usual flavor that is so attractive of TBN (i.e. many who share a common interest and wish to learn together/teach newbies). The thread that initiated this was clearly inflammatory and has no positive place here IMO. Any amount of back pedalling will not undo the time/energy and reaction that was provoked. One of the important benefits of posting in a public forum is that we self monitor and use the same restraint we would/should use as if we were speaking in public and restrain from publicizing provocative statements that further a hidden or personal agenda.

If filling out a public profile gives any legitimacy to what I am saying or who I am, or my IQ score, then i will happily insert anything that you would or would not like to believe. Regardless, I am not the type of person to post my resume on-line or boast of my credentials or even post pictures of my War medals, unless a member of this forum posts an insult that I should be shown how to properly operate a tractor and its' attachments. I work equipment and the earth on a daily basis, so to hear that I really felt insulted. Sorry to knock you off of your soapbox bx34d.

I question whether or not you actually have driven the tractor. Mine (and every other one I have tried) are very tough.. I've slammed mine into brush piles, wood piles and rock piles. The thing just never has blinked one bit. You obviously either got a bum tractor or have driven one. (I would say the later) If a JD will make you happy, go buy one and stop posturing.

I don't know what is going on but something sure is wrong to cause him to come to such out of line observations that are so far off base from dozens of owners real life experiences with the BX1500.
Something has caused him to come up with the out of kilter conclusions.
I'm just trying to find out what it was.
I'm not being argumentative =just searching for the facts!

This is really an amazing forum. By virtue of the wonderful helpful people who come here it has the ability to absorb and change what may seems to be undesirable attitudes into a positve experience. Thanks to everyone.

Doing awesome! :) Most of the land I wanted cleared is cleared, going to have a BIG bonfire soon. Taking out the little spruces I was worried about is a joke. I can take out the 6-8" no problem, push them over from up high, grab the half root ball that pops out with the FEL and they pop right out of my nice sandy soil.

The big 10"-16" are cut down and I leave about a 5 foot stump for leverage, dig around a bit (most of the time with the FEL but sometimes with the BH, especially for the poplar and such with big deep roots) and pop those out too. TONS of power for what I need.

About 75 hours on her now, only problems were 2 flat front tires (same tire) and one was because it was not fixed right (fixed second time for free by tire repair shop when they relized what happened) and a busted hydraulic loader line from rubbing on the loader arm (never noticed it was not installed properly) but sure noticed the fluid pumping out 12' in the air, especially when it landed on my hair!! :D

I got a free replacement line under waranty by my local dealer, who was great, installed it in about 5 minutes and was up and running again so no complaints there :).

Considering the work I've put this thing through I'd say I'm 100% satisfied with it. It's a tank and runs like a top and just SIPS fuel.
