shake rattle and mow
I purchased the 1850BX approx 2 1/2 years ago and only use it to mow ( 160 ttl hours).
Questions is this : During the last few mows it has developed a vibration throughout the tractor ( Not at all a strong one but I do notice it because when I get in the house after mowing and pick up the phone, well the phone seems like it is vibrating).
I have no idea what to look for or what might be causing this. Any ideas or assistance would be greatly appreciated !!
By the way, its not a vibration that perhaps others would notice initially and it usually starts only after its warmed at temperature.

That is not healthy for you or anyone else operating the tractor!!
Is the front drive line locked and secure? Is the stub shaft exiting the Mid PTO secure-not loose wobbling when pulled or pushed by hand with or with out the mower drive shaft on it?
b. bent mower blades?
b1. bearing arbors loose/wobbling on one or more blades
b2. bearings greased regularly?
b3. bent mower drive shaft from midpoint to the gearbox if it has a gearbox
b4. is the gearbox secure and not loose from the mower deck?
b5. gearbox shaft wobble with or without drive shaft- can you press on the
shaft or push up and watch it move.
b6. if you spin the stub shaft on the gearbox will it offer continuos resistance and gear contact or does it seem lile a few teeth are missing and as a result you have a surge of power and a miss like a hit and miss gas engine with a cast water tub for cooling it.
It would be really noticable at a low rpm speed
c. The other big issue is one of engine timing; if the engine still has its original, fuel settings to comply with tier1234 emmisions it will really chug duetz air cooled engines do this when they are OEM and not changed for the type of machinery load duty- 3 cylinder engines and screw type air compressors as an example.
d. one or more of the tractors rubber isolators may be bad.
I would be inclined to adjust the fuel settings and increase the fuel delivery
as we have had this problem on the forum for quite a while and these ngines are used for a lot of other purposes including marine engines, pumps, generators and thses things howl and have no vibration period as the cranks are balanced for the engines as they would tear themselves apart otherwise.
First
Rather than have you chase possibilites I would see
if you have a bad or missing rubber isolator for the operators station and fenders.
second
and or a bad rubber engine mount as its transmitting
through the entire tractor to the steering wheel.
if you cannot see andy broken or damaged isolators, mower bearing hubs or
engine isolators I would increase the fule delvery settings.
third
raising the fuel delivery rate and see if it cancels the vibration
The machine should nor be vibrating so bad that you are developing nerve conduction problems(which can become deadly) and it continues after you are done operating the machine period.
I believe we have a lot of threads about fixes from kubota because of the poor fender and station mounts which can be traced back to the slower engine speeds/out of time conditions with these and other small engines.
as i understand it the engines are tested for a veryy small time period with the minimum fuel and oil levels and then drained for shipping to comply with the rules after the attacks on the former world trade center towers and the pentagon.
