BX22 Availability

From what I understand, the 4 way valve is needed for front mounted implements, especially the front mounted blade with hydraulic angle. If you don't contemplate buying front mount attachments, I don't think the 4 way is needed.

I ordered the BX22 on Saturday the third and had it delivered Saturday the tenth. The financing and customizations were completed over the week. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I am also in the market for a BX22 from Purceville or Frederick. Have not yet visited, but plan to shortly.
What were the prices quoted from these shops?
Is there any inventory in the area? (Gaithersburg, etc.)
Will you be able to take advantage of the 0% deal if delivery is not before 6/30/03?
What else should I ask for beside the tractor and implements- i.e.: Service manuals, etc. Is it reasonable or common to ask that they come out and do the 50 hr. maint. or to supply the parts at sale?

When I got my BX2200 I found the operators manual a bit lacking so I got the service manual. It's a lot more detailed and I think it's worth the $80 it cost me. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I wish I had thought to ask them to include the 50 hour service in the price. Others here have done this with success.

Pricing was fair, slightly above the average for the region ( I know because I sent an RFP to every dealer within 100 miles). No sweat making the deal. As I understand it, there is no inventory in the area. I'm not using the 0% deal, so I can't speak to that. Haven't asked that question. Good luck.

Says they have eight (8) on order, saw trucks arriving today, but no BX22's. Predicting 1 month availability, but that seems to be the standard answer whenever someone asks 'When will the be here?'.

0% Kubota financing has a $250 surcharge.

What's the surcharge on financing for? Are they charging you $250 to do the paperwork? If so, you might want to have a lawyer do it instead. It would be cheaper. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Not sure what the $250 surcharge is for- it may include processing fees, loan fees, handling fees, all the stuff banks throw in to make more money. I read in another post that Kubota made a guy take out insurance for $500, but almost everyone else was able to use their home insurance policies.

Kubota requires an insurance policy on anything that is financed - just as if you were buying a car. If your home owners policy covers the tractor, then you're fine. If not, then you'll need to get additional coverage or purchase the policy offered by Kubota. In my case, the tractor is on my property which is 105 miles from my house - so my homeowners policy was out of the question. The Kubota policy was $865 dollars for the term of the 5 year loan, which works out to $173 a year or $14.42 a month. I think this is reasonable for a $20,000 tractor package. Probably could have got it a bit cheaper if I had shopped around, but with Kubota the loss is covered in full - no arguing with the insurance comapny over value.

My home owners policy covers the tractor so it didn't cost me anything....
