Backhoe BX22 Backhoe workout

My wife caught me learning to use this backhoe. It digs through California sunbaked clay and DG so far. I got some planting done this morning that I would never attempt with a shovel. I dug down about 2 feet and filled the hole with compost and topsoil. Should grow good Bouganvilla bushes.

This kind of shows the working depth. It does what I need. Saves my back and gets the planting done.

Hey Gary I got my bx22 yesterday I played with the backhoe and dug out a couple of small stumps. The backhoe pulls the tractor all around. It seems like a well ballanced tractor. David

lift rear wheels off ground with stabilizers and put loader down in the dump position and just take load off front wheels and it should not move around much then.

or if you have access... fill the front bucket with dirt beforehand... I find the extra weight in the front bucket makes it a night/day difference.. of course, the neighbors might not like the loader divits in their garden as you do this ... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Thanks for those suggestions for keeping the bucket from dragging the tractor back into the work area. I'm also a new BX22 owner, & I've had that problem too. I'll sure give your suggestions a whirl.
