BX22 Refurb

Now that the weather has started to cool off down here I've started doing things to the BX22 that was left to me by my neighbor that passed away. Some here may remember my "BX22 Left To Me" thread.

So far I've put a new seat on, changed the front end oil over to 80/90 weight grease, tightened the front end castle nut which was bad loose and fixed all the oil leaks on the front end.

I've been around this tractor since it was new and have my suspicions that the HST oil has never been changed or the screen washed out. However, with 1600+ hours on the tractor the HST functions just fine.

My next quest is to replace the HST fan since ALL the blades are gone.

Today, I changed the HST oil, filter and cleaned the screen. I'm attaching a pic of the screen prior to washing it out so everyone can see and comment.

That was how mine looked with metal bits when first 50 hour service was done over 10 years ago, been clean ever since, change HDY filter every 300 hours over 1200 now. Recall reading this was normal for first service.

I would say the screen is doing what it is meant to do.Keep the pics coming as you progress through the refurb.

Yup mine looked like that at 50hrs. Clean at 100 and ever since...OCD here:grumpy:
