bx2200 60\" mmm adjustment

My 60" mmm is way out of adjustment. Left side is lower than right. The manual is so dificult to decipher. First of all it seems that all the measurements in mm are missing a decimal point (ie 55mm should be 5.5mm). Anyway it seems that last summer there was a thread about adjusting the mmm that said that there was a better sequence of adjustments than indicated in the manual. Does anyone have these instructions handy.

By the way, FYI, the antiscalp wheels will overheat and burn right off the axles if they are allowed to run on the ground constantly, especially if they touch at an angle due to a misadjusted deck.

Thanks
Richard

Re: bx2200 60\" mmm adjustment

I aligned my deck a couple of days ago. I bought my tractor in December of last year so I have not cut grass yet. I was a little disappointed that the dealer didn't do a very good job installing the MMM. All of the adjustments were WAY out, including the level in all directions. The left to right adjustment is made by pulling the pin on the rear lift mechanism and rotating the collar until you obtain the correct height. To determine the height on the left side of the deck I used a block of wood and pressed the sharp tip of the blade against the soft wood to make an indentation; pulled the block from under the deck and measured the distance to the mark (the deck prevents you from measuring directly). Mine was off by 7/8 inch.
