Price Check BX2200 Price

Not much I can do about it now, but I'm just wondering what ya'll think about the deal I stuck in Northern Vermont:
BX2200, 60" mower deck and LA211 loader (bar tires) for $12,390.

I added a grille guard, 51" rear mount snowblower, 5' Woods rear blade, and extra set of tires (turf) for $14,272. That price includes UCC filing, but not tax. I was not charged for delivery She was delivered all touched-up and bathed.

From what I could find (including a brief investigation of Canada and New Hampshire with no sales tax) this is a pretty good price. Wha cha think?

Sounds pretty good to me - of course, I'm still kicking myself that I didn't include a post-hole-digger and tiller in my purchase. Don't really have a use for the FEL on my property - too flat, grassy and boring.

Congratulations on the purchase though!

RPM, why not get the local soil deleivery outfit to deleiver you several loads of dirt and just move it here and there with your loader or better yet use it to make the place less flat and boring? J

I came here to see if the price I paid was in line (not that it matters now). SW Washington and I paid $12,400 for a BX 2200 60" mower, and LA211 loader.

I just talked to a dealer that told me "Kubota does not recommend using a post hole digger with the BX series".

Got my BX2200 w/ 60" mower and FEL for $12,000. His initial offer was $12,200 for the package. I then got him to sweeten the deal even further by throwing in a Howard Rotovator for $1,100. He showed me his cost for that implement is $1,079 so I got it almost at cost.

Kubota says you can use a post hole digger on the BX. Check the literature on the BX or the Kubota website.
The NH TC-18 don't mention using a post hole digger.
Ever think of renting an auger at the tool rental places?

I have rented both a 2-man and 1-man auger. All I can say is it takes more of a "man", than I can provide. They are back-breakers for sure. I found a place that rents a bobcat with an auger on it, but it costs $225 a day, plus $100 for delivery and pickup. The thing weighs in excess of 10,000 lbs with the trailer, so you would need a bigger truck than my F-150 to pull it safely.

I definately need a tractor that will handle a post-hole digger easily, and be able to drill holes 48 inches deep (after the stuff that enevitably falls back into the hole is accounted for). I figure that a 52 inch depth should work and still leave me 48 inches to use.

Sorry to be harping about posthole diggers. My Wife and I have worked 4 days on putting in our fence, and after two rentals, we have a grand total of 0 full-depth holes. Its extremly frustrating.

I figured if a 5hp two man auger can almost do it, then surely a 22hp 1300lb tractor should make easy work of it.

I posted several months ago for information about using one with a BX2200, and thought the problem was solved as people were using them successfully. Then, I have 3 separate dealers tell me definately not to use one on the BX series tractors.

I am SOOO confused.

I bet a 'Bota auger on a 'Bota tractor can do the trick if'n in can get to the 48-54+ mark. I figured any auger should do three - four foot holes without a problem since that's not an extreme depth.
I hate using post hole diggers!! Call me lazy at the ripe old age, well lets just say I recently celebrated the first anniversary of my 39th birthday.
