Backhoe BX2230 BX2200 Woods backhoe install

I'm the proud owner of a new '05 BX2230 with a 60" MMM that I'm going to install a Woods BX6000 Groundbreaker-X back hoe on later next week. Saw the thread on the Deere 2210 install and said I can do it too. Reason I got the aftermarket hoe instead of the BX23 was the great deal on the BX2230 ($10500 with 8 hours on it, LA211 loader and a new 60" Mid Mower!) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif With the $3900 cost of the Woods backhoe, subframe and 12" bucket it was a no-brainer compared to the BX23 I was looking at. I'll take pics along the way with any tips I discover so we can all take advantage of this beefy back hoe.

I be doing a similiar write up on the Woods FEL and BH, not so much an install article but an ins and out of the Woods units. They are pretty amazing looking, I just had the chance to look at the units that will be on my BX2230.

Not sure how the backhoe install will/could effect the warranty yet. I got the tractor "used" from the Case/IH dealer in Lititz PA so I'm not even sure the Kubota warranty will transfer to the second owner like they said it would. Couldn't believe the hour meter only had 8 hours on it, but of coarse, the tractor looked completly new-unused. Has anyone ever transfered a Kubota warranty? Picking up the backhoe next Wednesday. I'll keep you informed.

Talked to the Woods backhoe engineering dept. on the phone yesterday and they confirmed that the frame will allow operation of the MMM with the backhoe attached. Kit comes with a swivel seat adaptor so the seat spins. I forgot to ask them about possible interference of the backhoe frame and the 3 point arms in the back. One thing I noticed when I lower the mower deck the 3 point arms drop also. Was told by the Case dealer to remove the rear arm links when using the mid mower to avoid backing into something with them.

Good question about the transfer from Kubota, I'm still waiting on mine and it was delivered used from a dealer 3-5-05. I have contacted him and he claimed it would come from Kubota directly. If i should get it soon, I'll let you Know

I found out that there is no interference between the BH sub frame and 3pt arms or MMM. The arms do need to be taken of when the BH is mounted but can be reinstalled after. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get that price?
I just priced one last week and I got prices of $4800-5700. Uninstalled with 12" bucket and NO pads for outriggers. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

What do they tell you about the roll bar on the 2230, will you have to do something there also.

I wish someone would come up with a seat (second) for the bh on the Kubota 23, My only complaint (other than to much work and not enough seat time) is having to spin the seat, it is a pain in the seat!

Agree with Danny...I do a lot of BX22 seat spinning and it is a pain, even when helped along by WD40. There must be a better way...???

Spinning the seat on the Woods spin kit is easier than the BX23 when I tried both side by side. I like only having one seat it looks a bit odd to have both.

Started to assymble the BH6000 back hoe today. It will fit in a standard pick up bed because it comes mounted on a standard pallet. I removed as many pieces from the pallet to lessen the weight so it could be lifted off with 4 of us.
