</font><font color="blue" class="small">( I don't know if the BX2230 is the same, but on my BX22 there is an unused four wired plug inside the battery compartment. One of the wires is a ground (black), one is powered all the time (don't remember color) and one is powered when the ignition switch is on (red with black stripe). I haven't figured out the fourth wire yet (white). If you have such a plug, I think you could connect to the wire which is powered when the ignition switch is on. )</font>
