Doing the 500 hour service on my BX2350 and while it was down I was also going to tackle the sudden stop problem. There was a thread some 6 months or so ago which described the cause of the problem and an adjustment for correcting. I was sure I had copied/bookmarked and saved multiple references to it but now can't find a thing. I think the discussion started off on a maintenance/servicing subject but wandered on to the sudden stop in reverse problem. Have done a 'search' on this site for keywords and have been reading through the results but I still have 24 more pages to go.

Can anyone recall this and point me to where I might find it ?

Not sure about the thread that you are referring to but I don't remember anyone actually saying that they fixed the abrupt reverse stop "feature" in the 50 series BX's. I had a thread going that chronicled my dealer's attempt at correcting the issue but the fix made matters worse. If you come up with something that works, please share with the rest of us 50 series owners.

I thought that down towards the end of a long thread someone had come up with a solution which was to do with shortening/lengthening/adjusting some rods. Never saw any follow up responses/threads as to whether it worked or not.

Sounds like you haven't found the solution yet either.

I think this *might* be the one you were looking for?

Bingo !!! That"s the one I was thinking of. Thank you
From reading the posts again I don't think a solution has been found. Maybe if I got a beer and lay on the ground and looked at all the connections, and did a bit of swearing at it I may get it to work

(I had bookmarked it but a crash in Dec lost all bookmarks but I also thought I had copied and saved it as well)

Agree. I've read countless threads on this issue both on TBN and other forums and the only solution I've seen that worked was to trade out of a 50 series BX for something else - sorry to say.

LOL - Just be careful with beer when laying down. It gets hard to drink like that without straining your neck muscles. I know! :D

I think someone should set up a foundation to accept donations to offer a bounty to whoever figures it out. We already know about the pedal linkage change, we just need to know what changed with the hydro to go along with that.
I consider it only an annoyance, but I'd gladly contribute to help find a solution
