I'm looking to buy a BX2750 blower with a 2751 hitch on it. Don't know the number of the mid p.t.o. But I think the mid pto is too long - 14 7/8". The unit was on a model 2670 tractor. Someone told me that all the long driveshafts that go from the p.t.o. off the tractor to the splined shaft on the 2751 hitch are all the same length and that I need the shorter(11 1/2") splined shaft. Can I just swap out the shafts. Or cut the longer one to the right length? Or is this more trouble than it's worth and just wait for the right unit for my tractor. Thanks!

the problem with trying to shorten the shaft running from the pto to the mid shaft is that you can't just cut the shaft unless you have some really specialized balancing equipment. The rear end of the shaft has the typical snap coupling while the front has a 6-7 inch spline "slide joint" that connects to the mid shaft. I'll bet Messicks could help you out. Good luck!
