Tractor
a 67 Cub LowBoy - would love to restore her. Also have a 2004 Kubota BX-23.
Hello to all from central Illinois. After much reading, talking, e-mailing, private messages and tire kicking I became the owner of a BX23 with loader and hoe at 1045am today. I'm very pleased with the purchase and while I dont have any pics yet rest assured that the tires are now filthy!!!! The choice came down to a Kioti CK20HST or this tractor. To be honest the final decision was based on my wife's comfort level operating the tractor as it and she will be doing a lot of mowing once the house and barns are done. I hope this little tractor will be a workhorse for my family for years to come.

I'd say going with the "WIFES" choice was the wisest decision. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

However, the wife will most likely enjoy her seat time so much, that her seat time has the potential to dramatically reduce the opportunity for your personal seat time. Seat time is a precious commodity & there's only so much seat time to go around. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

No kidding, that is an amazing amount of fruit!

To dpl96 - welcome to the BX cult! Mine is a month old, but has only 12 hours on it. I can hardly wait for spring, in the meantime I play with snow.

Guys, that was only one tree, I still have six grapefruit trees left to pick. I've been juicing most of it, and giving some to neighbors, co-workers, etc. I've already picked, eaten, and juiced the orange, tangerine, tangelo and lemon trees. I have almost 40 fruit trees total, including the starfruit and banana trees. Probably 2/3 are citrus trees. This is one of the reasons I bought the tractor. Last year I picked about 100 bags of fruit (walmart and grocery store style plastic bags) by hand and carried them by hand. The tractor is alot faster. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif It's also helped alot in clearing the junk out of my property, which was the primary reason I bought.

Once she drives it and finds out that "tractor work" really means fun time, you will

A., find out you no longer are the owner, but must ask permission to get HER tractor dirty

B., You will not be able to use tractor time as "work" hence forth, you could wind up with KP since you really have not done work with the tractor.

Photos are a must

DANNYD :

Your mind works in the dark corners of reality I fear!!!! Surely my loving sweet wife would not to such a thing! I have a 60s model Cub lowboy waiting to be restored. I suppose if worse comes to worse I can drown my sorrows in engine oil and grease with it. Pics are on their way. Forgot to take the digital cam with me yesterday and today it's raining - but it will happen. By the way folks - I can't say enough good about my dealer Neimeyer Kubota in Coles County Illinois. They blew every other dealer I contacted out of the water - shoot the owner even gave me his cell phone number so that I can call him any time I have a problem. Now that is service - so if you happen to live in Illinois you might give them a shot.
