BX2380 Arrives!!

Robert I do NOT have the BX drive over deck. Maybe the lift arms will loosen up with use, the 3pt drops right down no problem yet the deck arms are still suspended in the up position hence my head scratching. When I reached up and pulled them down it didn't take much effort.

My deck will remain on 95% of the time so R&R is not a big deal for me. Have you purchased the Oregon Gator G6 blades yet? I mowed with them Monday and they cut really nice.

I must have had a brain fart. Thought you had the BX drive over.
Glad your blades are the shiznit. Haven't found the P/N for the blades. Ran the number Oregon recommended, but it comes back as a blade replacement, not the G6.
I probably have a few weeks yet. Snow projected this next week. I'm betting the deck will go on in about 5-6 weeks.

congrats, I see you don't have the Skid-steer QA bucket option, probably a good move given the significant loss of performance with that feature. good luck....

This may be a silly question, but I was just curious. I have a BX23S with the SSQA. So far I haven't had any issues with the it. That being said, if you just removed the SSQA from the FEL, would it be exactly like the pin on type? I mean, if you really didn't like the SSQA, would that take you back to the original spec, or is it more complicated than that?

Exactly, already a big down grade vs my B2920 FEL and didn't want to lose another 20% of lift on top of that.

Tip, on the manual removal deck which I had on my BX2370, you have to dial the grass cutting depth knob all the way to zero to completely drop the deck to the ground. Same actually on the drive over on my 2380. If it's hanging up, it may be that you don't have the setting low enough. That thing is a pain to turn in either direction.

I can tell the difference in the SSQA lift capacity on my 2380 than the non SSQA I had on the 2370, but all in all, I can still lift a full bucket of anything I've tried to scoop, so not a terrible loss; just a little more strain.

No the deck was already removed, I was re-installing and the lift arms did not drop down so I could connect them. I think its just that it was new and gooped with grease, the BX2380 arms are not really heavy, shorter linkage. Its really a NON issue as I just reached up and pulled them down with little effort. It just puzzled me for a bit why the 3pt was going up and down and the mower deck linkage wasn't. Picture me standing there with my 'what the ****' look. lol
