If you`re referring to me, mine is not glass, its plastic.
As for the bowl getting hit, no, i`m not concerned about it, i built a heavy duty metal guard that protects the bowl.
The filter looks great. Do you have a picture of this guard yet?

Please do... been staring at my BX for awhile now and contemplating how I might fab a guard.Thank you...!
Unfortunately i dont have a picture of it yet, as i didnt like my first guard, so i`m making another one, then has to go to powdercoat shop.
When i get my updated guard finished and mounted, i`ll post a picture of it.

Will do dragon... it`ll be awhile, but i wont forget ya.
No worries... I'm sure you will beat me to it.
Sounds like you are on the right track with a QA feature.I dont know about that buddie, i`ve been so crazy busy that i dont know which direction to turn next...lol
But, for sure my friend, i`ll get another one made, as i saw where the mistakes were in the first one i built.
The one i`m working on now will hopefully be a quik-attach so its not to involved in just changing a filter cartridge.
Sounds like you are on the right track with a QA feature.
Ron,
your right, your dealer has no idea because i bought the complete kit off from ebay for $175 (ebay name: botasandy)
The folks i bought the kit from actually build the kit... The filter assembly itself is genuine kabota item and the dealer can get them.
The filter assembly is actually made for the M5700 kabota tractor #15521-43015 (costs around $50 to $60 just for the filter assembly)
These folks make up all the correct hoses`s & brass fitting`s to do the complete install. Their work is absolutely stunning.
They send VERY detailed instructions on how to install it. It also comes WITH the special built mount to install it on the BX tractors.
I will try to post it in here where i bought the kit.

This kit DOES come with only one filter cartridge, the cartridge itself is only $3.90 when you buy one from the kabota dealer.
I just got one of these kits last week after it being out of stock. The price goes up every time they run out; I paid $189.95. Just installed it today and it is a well-designed kit. However, I was unable to route one of the fuel lines through the HST driveshaft tunnel per the directions, so it loops under the left frame rail which I'm not real happy about. But, I used plenty of zip ties to try to get it up out of the way and it won't be in the way of the MMM. I also had to grind the mounting bracket for the filter itself so it would sit level. Fired it up, ran great, then quit. Oh, great. Churned it, and then realized I'd shut off the fuel shutoff on the filter. Turned it back on, let the fuel pump fill it up, and away it went. Time will tell how it works out, but after seven years of BX ownership I'm not unhappy about not having to change that little filter under the tractor again.
