Not sure if its normal, but the 4x4 feels clunky when turning, even when i turn just a little bit. Even worst when the FEL is full of dirt. I now have about 17 hours and I have been using the 4x4 on the dirt. Its almost like a ring and pinion not messing properly. I understand when you make sharp turns that all the wheels may turn up a little dirt/grass, but not sure about the unsmoothness. I have used the 4x4 before and never felt this so thats why i am curious. Anyone else feel this?

I think you might want to get that checked out under warranty. My BX never did that. Are the fluid levels OK?

Me and several others have posted the front axle was WAY low on fluid when new. So much for dealer PDI. If run low long enough there could be damage.
Mine turns smoothly.

If it is still within warranty period, definitely get your dealer to check it.

Well I just checked the front axle oil and no fluid reads on the dip stick. I shined a flash light in there and there is fluid, but way low.

What do you guys think i should do? Add fluid and hope for the best or just bring it back to the dealer. I checked the manual and its not something i should be checking before every use. It says to check it at the 300 hour mark. I have checked everything the manual said to do, but would never of thought of the front axle coming from the dealer low. I only have 17 hours on it. If I do say somethig to the dealer would i be at fault for not checking it? I dont want to say the wrong thing?

My 4wd is smooth and I cant really tell between 2wd and 4wd under normal operation unless I look at the position of the lever.

I however have not checked my axle fluids so I definately need to do this. I have not noticed this dipstick before.

If it were me (an it may be after I check), I would request the dealer take another shot at proper pre delivery setup and send someone out to do a check of all fluid levels, top off and absolutely document the problem. I would even send them a certified letter to document the situation. If the axle ever goes out prematurely you will have record that they may have contributed to the cause and they may be more willing to work with you on repairs and parts cost.
