It says that "drilling welding and grinding may weaken the structure of the ROPS" I drilled 12, 9mm holes and put popnuts in them. Welding in the ROPS creates weak spots just outside/around the weld, so welding in my eyes MAY be very dangerous at the ROPS. But if you are experince in construction you would be fine even welding in the ROPS. Kubota and the ROPS police of course needs to write on the ROPS that "anything you do with the ROPS may weaken the structure" so no one later can sue them.
