Just wanted to know what type of fluid to use in the front axle case. Do you use the UDT or GEAR Oil SAE 80 or SAE 90. Or could you use either or? Thanks Alot.

Kubota installs the very same fluid that is used in the transmission case. However, you may use heavier gear fluids if you like.

If you lived in the Far North you might need to stick with SUDT (or PUDT), which won't turn to molasses at frigid temps... but those of us in moderate climates don't get much benefit. Kubota "approves" either one. Gear oil is more than adequate for this (high-pressure/low-speed/non-hydraulic) application, and more cost-effective.
