BX24 Instrument Cluster Replacement

I had a few problems with my BX24 including fuel gauge not reflecting actual level.
Service said that they needed to replace the instrument cluster.
Just got it back, so not only is my original stalling problem not resolved, I'm not sure that they replaced
the instrument cluster. One key indicator is that the original hours still show. Had expected that hours would go
back to 0. Can anyone provide feedback as to whether the hours would be 0 if they did replace the instrument cluster??

I don't know if a dealer has some special way of resetting the hour meter reading in a replacement panel, but when I replaced my bX24 panel last year, the new panel was, of course, at 0hrs and the directions did not say anything as to how it could be reset. It was almost like getting a new tractor except for all the various scratches and dings from the prior 237 hrs. I think you would have noticed a new panel as the plexiglass or whatever the cover is made from was much clearer on mine.

thanks, looks like they were able to replace the fuel sender, so didn't have to do the cluster...

Dealer can't reset the hrs on the BX's. I just replaced mine on my 2010 bx25 an it takes the same cluster as the bx24 just a change in the part# but its the same unit. They told me the only way that you would be able to set the hours is to disconnect the fuel pump and leave the key one for the hrs needed to match the original time but they don't recommend it. Mine has 302.0 hrs on it. Now it has 0.0
My original one had a broken plastic face an I could of taken them apart an switched out the insides but I tried an the plastic clips broke off of the old one so I didn't bother.

Mine was replaced at 300 hours also. You could always hook up 12 volt to the correct pin instead of leaving key on.
