BX24 speed control pedal linkage detached?

While mowing the grass today the HST forward/reverse speed pedal seemed to become detached and the tractor came to a stop. The pedal can be moved back and forth but doesn't do anything or return to its centered position. Looked around where it broke down and didn't see any broken springs or linkage parts on the ground. With the help of a neighbor we managed to push and tow it back into the barn before the rains tonight. Tomorrow I'll remove the mower and take a look underneath to see if there is anything I can make sense of. Otherwise will need to call the dealer and see if they can come and pick it up. Hope it isn't one of those silly things where you need to strip the machine to get at it.

Look for part #120 on the exploded parts diagram. Likely one end of this rod has come adrift.

You may need a mirror to see it with the mower on but repairs should be easy.

You lost #140 and #150 and the shaft has come out of the arm. You should had a loss of speed before it came all the way off.

The diagnosis was correct, the back end of the rod was detached. Part 130 was broken in two, fortunately the dealer had it in stock. I needed to remove the hydraulic filter to get to the broken part then it was straightforward.
