Well, the BX25 Full Cage Rollbar is done. The
last two pics show the new and improved
Fire-Extinguisher mount.

This is how we roll;

Biased my opinion is but that is SWEET!

She only has 50 hours on her, mostly as I built this and that,
I'll take $37,000.00 for the tractor w/hoe and all my implements if
anyone wants the best of the best. :cloud9: Over a year of warranty
left on it. Bearcat chipper, BH, 60" KK Blade, QH+, Ripper, +++. HA!

Otherwise IT IS MINE!

Front receiver sandwiches grill guard and frame, plus
the tube goes back to touch frame adding rigidity.

Interesting concept the motor grader idea...I guess if
your doing a lot of it, it would be very nice to have BCP.

Truth of the matter is that every single one of us that ventures into the forest to skid trees should have a full roll cage on their machines. I don't and did logging for a living . I cannot tell you how many times trees or broken limbs slapped the skidders. Perhaps it is the nature of a big cumbersome woods beast such as a skidder to be prone to bump into things but several hitches scumbling against the same tree during repeated turns on the same route can loosen things up top sometimes. To those of us with no protection, keep a wary eye up top on your skidding routes.
Artisan, I did the same thing to my tractor (JD 750) adding shims to the hydraulics and did not notice a huge difference. I should have used all five washers that came in the package instead of just the 4 I felt safer with. I pressured out to a little under 2300# with the 4 washers on a borrowed gage.

Thanx for the input arrow.
I wonder if anyone w/ a BX25 has shimmed to the max,
and did everything hold up and does it still work ok...

More GOODIES for my BX25!

After a lot of thought, I decided to purchase one of Harrys skid plates,
or as he calls it, "Under Armor" for my tractor. Next spring I will be doing some
real jungle crashing / land clearing and I will need it. I will post pictures
when complete. I would jump on it now but I have something much bigger and
pressing I am dealing with, willingly...stay tuned.

Here is a link to the BxPanded website...

Cant wait to hear your feed back on this Brad. Ive looked at both brands for plates and cant decide.

Brad here is an old post that worked out well with shims for more hydro power. Worked so well he added struts to stiffen the FEL. Ive already purchased the material to make my struts. By the way take a look at the rest of his threads. Has some great ideas.

Ah yes....I think I have that bookmarked someplace.
I think it was CTF ( CompactTractorFan ) who brought up
a very compelling arguement of swapping in larger FEL
cylinders in lieu of bumping up the pressure. It is a VERY
compelling arguement. So much so that I have measured
the OE cylinders and drawn them in CAD so that when I
am ready I can look into replacement cylinders.
If the cylinders are replaced you can easily get the power
one wishes for the BX25 that it lacks without playing w/
the OE pressures. I have I think 11 more months of factury
warranty...after that, providing some other things I am
currently working on are handled, I will be into this mod.

Keep me posted on the cylinders. As for now Ill be like Hans and Frans and adding shims to "Pump you up"

Great idea!!! As I've got a 3720, will mount on the box blade or the like!!!

p.s. This one doesn't have a plow on it (though I do have a 59" blower on the front for the "light stuff).......picked up your thread on this in S.S.'s.
