BX25 snowblower counterweight

I am now wondering why I bought the ballast box.....my old JD sure needed the wheel weights, suit case weights and chains....as it sits in the garage waiting for snow.....can't believe I am wanting snow!!!!

Just blew 3-4 inches of wet stuff with no weight in the ballast box. I had no trouble steering at all. Now we need a storm with a foot or more.

Throw 1 or 2 five gallon buckets filled with sand in the back this way if your far from the house and get stuck its right there with you. Not much too it and will get you unstuck in a pinch.

BTW thanks for the help on the hydraulic rotator. I just need to have my bracket welded up and I will be good to go. I'm still undecided about cutting the notches in the shoot for a full 360 degree swivel.

Keyman, you are welcome. I like the bucket of sand idea, gonna do it. This was the first use of my rotator and it was so much better than hand cranking. It should come as standard equip. on the 2750D blower. Btw, if you decide on doing the teeth let me know and I'll send you a scale drawing of the layout through the mail. Or if you know someone with CAD I will send you the file.
