Well, what a PITA, you did your homework and people are still not happy for you. I for one simply say congratulations and you're going to LOVE your new ride. What a change that's going to make going from a BX to a L3800!

Oh, I'm happy for him.
I think he did well on a nice machine. Congratulations
I just couldn't let the complete BS about the HST being 2 to 3 times faster go uncontested.

No problem Vince, I know threads go off topic, and it wasn't your comment that got me a little irritated, it was the germy jokers that made me a little sick.

I went from a BX22 to a L3700SU. The 3700 is nice but I still miss the BX. Make sure you have the updated pin in the BH on your new 38. mine snapped after about 2 hrs of digging in SAND. It mangled the pivot point and the entire hoe needed to be replaced.

Yes i am happy for him. I like my L3800 but it makes me so mad that kubota sends these tractors out with this 3 point issues. Its not like its a minor issue, so i am sorry if i come across as being bitter. I have been trying to get mine fixed off and on for about a year.

So congrats on the new tractor. I am just a little more that mad at kubota on how they handled this issue.

I'm sorry to hear it. The issues has apparently been fixed by some members here on TBN. There are well documented instructions with pictures available. Print it all out and take it to your dealer. There is a way to fix it, even if Kubota is not coming to the plate for you standard L owners.

Its a long story, i was the 1st guy to get my jerky hitch fixed from a dealer, from what i have read. Then 6 months later my loader valve started to raise and lower my 3 point hitch. Then they swapped valves with a Grand L vavle and now its back to jerky

Its getting a little old, i may end up trading up to a Grand L 3540, but im going to make dam sure its smooth before it leave the dealer

Enjoy the new beasty !! I think you'll like the extra power and size.. you may miss the hoe though. I've been kicking around buying a hoe for mine, I probably will eventually. The hitch is what the hitch is, some don't mind it, it drives some crazy. I'm somewhere in the middle. Did you get the R4 or R1 tires?

And in case you didn't know, there IS a way to get a "crunchless" shift from neutral to forward or reverse. You depress the clutch for about 5 seconds to let the spinning transmission shafts come to a stop, then engage either forward or reverse. Smooth as silk then. Simply going from forward to reverse it won't crunch at all, only when you let the clutch out in neutral, then go to re-select a gear.

Again, enjoy, they're a nice tractor.
