BX25D--finally pulled the trigger

Yep I was also thinking the FEL bucket maybe wouldn't be as good as a blade for snow removal. May be waiting until spring to 'pull the trigger' on a BX25D purchase would be the best idea.

Don't think so, at least I haven't seen that advertised anywhere. I am not sure how the dealer pulled those strings to get that term and rate, but I wasn't about to question it once offered.

i would like to know what 0% means when around here if you go for that, the package price is art least a grand higher. if it is 0%, a $10,000 tractor should have a total cost of $10,000

Best to ask the dealer to quote both cash and zero down and then negotiate from there.

This was the case at another dealership of a different brand tractor which I visited....0% but the price was higher...in other words, the interest was included in the price of the tractor and guaranteed, as opposed to having the ability to pay it off early. I didn't like that scenario at all. The 0% I received was on a great deal...19K for a BX5 with 60 inch deck and 3 pt. setup, I thought, was a great deal. I couldn't find one for that price anywhere else. Something tells me I lucked out.

It's the same in Alberta with the '0%' offers
Works out in real terms about 2.5% per year

When the new model BX25D first came out a couple of years ago, it was LISTED at $17k here in Ontario. Man, I was almost tempted to buy another one!:laughing:

Does that include the mmm? If so, it's still a very respectable deal, because that $17k (before tax) price did not last long at all. And don't forget, when I got the $17k price, the Canadian Dollar was higher than the U.S. dollar, but of course since then it has slid down to about 76 cents U.S.. And my guess is that Kubota Canada is going to boost their prices in response, if they haven't already. Can you imagine the price jumping by about a third, or about $7,000? I would pull the trigger right now.

I checked with my Ontario dealer and got a "best price" of $21,600 with the 0%/60 (plus 13% tax), versus about $1,700 less for a straight cash deal. (No mmm.) So.....

Where are you in Alberta? It's a big province (the size of Texas).

You get the BX25D-1
Standard front loader and back hoe but no MMM or other attachments like backhoe thumb or 3 point hitch
If you want cash deal it's $20500 in tax
Also with the 0% deal you need have insurance, can provide your own or buy the KUBOTA all in policy for about $18pm

Actually, before you do, check out the problem with these BX24D-1's not stopping when you let your foot off the throttle. (See the many posts by JohnThomas.)

KUBOTA also told during October they give
5 yrs warranty
Noticed others mention the stopping issue on the new BX25D some say it's not a problem others said it was so not sure if it's in all machines

So, make sure that you try it out at your dealer. And try it in both forward and reverse. Paul shorts has a BX25D-1 that takes a long time to stop in reverse.

My reverse is pretty snappy. Rolls a bit in forward but not like 4shorts!

Carbon, too bad but the Canadian dollar isn't helping you at the present. I recall I paid US$16,999 zero down zero %, for the BX25 two and half years ago. There was a deal for two implements so I also picked up a three point hitch and Landpride rake along with it. Can't remember the specifics on those though.

I did go with the KTAC insurance. Better deal in my case as my Homeowner's wouldn't cover it without a rider and the coverage would really only cover fire/theft or something like that. The KTAC covers pretty much anything including operator errors with a $250 deductible. I think the insurance was about $90 per year? Not sure.
