Hydraulics run on the same fluid as the HST tranny. Be sure HST works normally and the FEL likewise. The 3 point lift in back also raises/lowers the mower deck... you generally use one or the other at a time, not both.

The BX often shows low on the front axle, but that doesn't mean there is a problem, some people don't top off a few hours after a change. Here is a link that might help you understand the tractor a little better.
