It's worth it, but a heads up on lead time would've been nice.

If they are open for business there is ALREADY someone answering the phone and processing orders..........or should be.
Maybe you miss the obvious but its the lack of response that is the biggest complaint & it still costs zero to send an email.

Their website, where you place your order, and takes your payment also has a "contact" option.
The first two work 100% , the third not so much.

It took about 4+ weeks to receive my bucket expander which I stupidly should have ordered this winter! Screwed around thinking about it and of course waiting until they were flooded with orders. Also got the replaceable scraper blade which they added more time to the order. Bottom line it works fantastic and cut my time in half moving many yds of mulch.

I just ordered the bucket quick disonnect for the excavator along with the 4" trenching bucket. Spoke directly with the owner (Harry) who's a really fantastic guy imo. He said they would do the best they could to get my order shipped ASAP. I have a lot of trenching to do but it's going to have to wait until I get the new trenching bucket! I'll post when I receive the new items...

I ordered a BX 23s bucket expander on May 7th. Messaged and no reply. Called and finally got a guy who said it would ship “next Wednesday” which was June 5th. Nothing shipped. This is my ninth item from them and I really like their products. I’d wait for them but I’d sure like to know before hand how long. It seems to me they could find someone to answer the phone and emails. It’s not like this stuff is cheap. My two cents.

It's always a dilemma for small businesses, especially when they are semi-custom build-to-order manufacturers with seasonal demand. Part of the year, 25 employees is too many, other times 50 isn't enough. Hate to hire and train people, then lay them off. I don't envy them.

Just got my bar this past Saturday.
It was 30 days from my online order to delivery on my porch, ordered thru their website and paid with PayPal.

Bar is excellent, easily installed and well made. It looks like it's finished with a hammer tone paint / powder finish.
I needed to give it a few taps with a block of wood and BFH to get the end "ears" close to my bucket width.

Bucket (Kubota) drilled easily with a unibit.

Getting back to my only complaint about communication -
I sent BX an inquiry thru their website asking what the current delivery time is for a Kubota BX thumb.
It's been 3 days thus far with no reply.......it gets back to the common complaint of answering email or the phone.

(Me): Hi, question.... I am looking for a Backhoe dolly for a BX23s, Are they in stock and ready to ship?
CLICK..... he hung up on me!!!!!!!

What the %$^&$ was that...... Customer calls in 1st before ordering and is HUNG-UP-ON because he asks if the product is in stock?????

I am sorry....... This is no way to treat returning customers (or any customer).

Well I never got a reply from attempted contact thru their web page so I called them. Asked about the delivery time for a thumb and the woman told me 4~6 weeks.
Thanked her , hung up and ordered a Kubota thumb for my BX that will be here in a couple days.

Glad I got my piranha bar but Bx is not really reliable for timely delivery of product or communication using their website.

I have several products from BX... extremely happy with all of them. For those of you that are complaining... trying running a small business that caters to customers. Let's add $50 to $100 on top for guaranteed delivery date and 24 hour response to your impatient inquiries. Sure don't hear anyone complaining about quality. Would you rather it fast and low quality, fast and expensive, or wait a little longer and get quality at a reasonable price.

Seems every spring/summer the natives get restless and start chirping because they don't get Amazon Prime lead times. Love how people complain about something that they have no clue as to the total picture. As my mom used to say... "don't criticize someone until you have walked a mile in their moccasins". She wasn't the owner...

WTF does ANY of that have to do with answering or returning an inquiries, thur THEIR web site again ?
A reply of "its going to be "X" number of days" is FAR better than no answer at all.

Maybe you are confusing the #1 complaint of poor communication and NOT the product.
(Comm's is easy to fix and costs nothing.)

Wow, you sure did a great job of demolishing that straw man. Nobody is asking for "Amazon Prime lead times". They are asking for the company not to hang up on them when making a simple inquiry. They are asking for some indication of their order status after four weeks of silence since having their cards charged.

I, like probably many other on this forum do have a small business that sells to customers, and I would be ashamed to treat my customers like this. Yes, things don't always go as planned, but I always try to keep an open line of communication. It sure isn't fun to have to call somebody and tell them about a delay or other issue, but you know what, I do it, because it's the right way to treat people.

Sorry Guys! I did post that after midnight. But I will say that I have had good customer service with BX on multiple purchases. Saying that it costs nothing to provide better customer service though is naive to put it nicely. I do hope for BXpanded company owners sake, they are listening to those here that are complaining about their customer service!

Agreed, even sending an automated email to all waiting customers informing them of delays takes an employee's time, which is money. I do however feel that it would be a worthwhile investment for them to do at least something along those lines though. Surely the "bad press" they are receiving on the forums would outweigh the costs. Like you, I would also like to see them be successful and appreciate the fact that they are a small company trying to compete with massive companies. (And a fellow Tennessee company at that!)

On a related note, does anybody know if they make their products here? I had assumed so, but their website doesn't make mention of it. If I was them and manufacturing in the USA, it would be all over my website!

A: We build the Piranha to order so lead times can vary depending on many factors including the season. Currently, we are shipping in approximately 3 weeks.

This happen to be under the product page of the piranha tooth bar on the web site. (10 questions )

I ordered my 7-7-19 shipped notice came 7-29-19 be here by Friday. Exactly 3 weeks.

If you do a little research before you order you might fined the answer your looking for, and your shipping anxiety will be less.

I ordered my Piranha Bar on 08/25/19 knowing it will take at least three weeks so I will at least wait that long and if it passes I will try to call them but for now I will just sit back and wait hoping it is as good as folks say it is.

Pretty dang happy with mine. Can't imagine without it now and never considered removing it. I think you will be happy when it 'finally' gets there.
