BXpanded

I just put my "armor" on my BX2360 today and when I went to lock it in the top position, my linkage dial won't lock in. I have never used the mid mount linkage, so I never tried to lock it in. Now I'm at the mercy of the dealer who said he'll put me on the "road list." No armor for a while I guess.

I have a Bro Tek and in looking at the Bxpanded, it "looks" like you remove it when you mount the MMM?

That is actually why I went with the Bro Tek for the skid plates. Richard's are multiple plates to cover the entire underside, where as the Bxpanded is one to cover all. With the Bro Tek plates I can leave the rear plate on with the MMM mounted. The others can be added to cover the more front area when you take the MMM off. However, I do think the Bxpanded one goes on and off easier.

There are a number of threads that cover how you can adjust that if you don't want to wait - linked a couple here but if you do a search on locking the MMM in the top position you can find more.

I am sure it does, but I read where a member lost his fan with the MMM on and a couple of years ago, before I had anything on mine I was pushing pines knocked down by an ice storm and a limb ran between my deck and frame and came really close to my fan.

I am probably just overly cautious.

Back again. Sorry to be a pain. I am still trying to lock my MMM linkage so I can install my body armor. I found the adjustment screw next to the back left wheel and I backed off on it to no avail. I'm afraid to tighten it too much as a post on here warned against over tightening.
Which way would be more apt to work, backing off or tightening? When I backed off on the screw, I could see the linkage coming down a bit, but after raising it as far as possible it still wouldn't switch to TOP.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I hate to be waiting a few weeks for my dealer's "road list" visit. :(

Hopefully, someone who's actually had to do the adjustment will chime in, but you may want to PM one of them in case they aren't watching this thread. (I know RaydaKub did the adjustment successfully for one, and he participates here regularly.)

I thought I had the problem at one point. But turned out I hadn't raised the 3pt quite all the way up before trying to go to TOP. Once I did, I could go into TOP, so didn't end up having to make the adjustment.

I turned in (tightened) the adjustment screw 4 complete turns, I counted the turns so I could get back to the factory setting if needed.

And yes, it has to be raised fully to turn the dial to Top.

Well, not quite. My whole control bracket was broken right off the frame. I tore it down and got it welded back on. The cams on my control looked like they had worn some and that would certainly help because it wouldn't have to go quite as high. I didn't have to adjust anything to make it lock up. I know my thread was already referenced above on that saga. Maybe the parts breakdown will help solve the mystery, but for now I'm gonna go to bed. I'll see if I can get a chance to look at the diagram tomorrow.

Just ordered my Under Amour. Been worried that I would wipe out the HST fan long enough. The Under Amour seems to be the best product for my needs.

I ended up having to straighten the small "wings" in the back to get mine to lock in the top position, but all is well now.
