cab for BX2200

Miki:

I had posted same some time ago with little result. I have a BX22 and am looking for one of the canvas or vinyl ones, primarily as protection during snowblowing. I found one at a company called Perry. I emailed them about details but never got an answer.

I hope someone out there has some good names for manufacturers. I've seen them a number of times on tractors, but now I need to try to find one.

If you want a nice hard shell type there are a few brands out there, but they are quite pricey and somewhat of a job to install/remove.

I just had a look at the Curtis Cab web page (www.curtiscab.com) and they don't show a cab for a BX2200 or BX22 as yet. My guess is that it won't be long before they do. They list both soft sided and hard sided cabs. There are many other manufacturers of cabs as well. I suggest you talk to your dealer or search the web for cab suppliers and see what you can find.

I had a soft sided cab on my previous tractor but have a hard sided cab on my current tractor. There is no comparison - hard sided wins by a mile. Be sure to get a good heater - it is worth it. As for taking the cab on and off, I don't find it that big a deal - four bolts and two hoses and one electrical connection. It takes me perhaps an hour going either direction. I have a pulley suspended from a tree branch and use the winch on my ATV to lift the cab on or off. See attached.

Byrd Tractor has one at their dealership in Manassas, VA all set up on a BX2200... it's a really nice cab, I was impressed! This is not an off/on install however. Once you put it on, it pretty much stays on. Made by Curtis. Call Byrd..maybe they can send you a digital photo? Tel 703-361-2135. Ask for Jeremy.

I am not sure what everyone else thinks but that picture of the Cab on the BX2200, I don't know, hate to say it but, "I think it looks stupid"

I guess I'll just stick to wearing my "Carhart Artic" clothes in the winter time......

Kind of looks like a vehicle from the old Pink Panther movies especially with the light on top...... Tom

Howard,

I like that cab on your F2400. Do you also have a heater in it?
I have not yet bought my BX2200 and I am still exploring all my options. I will primarily be using it for mowing and withthe snowblower in winter. We get lots of snow up here in Canada and I really wanted a cab. How is that F2400 working out with the snow. I am now debating between the BX2200 and an F series tractor. Comments?

This looks like it could be a good deal for the occasional snow protection.
