Buying Advice cab tractor

Open station may be where I end up, but I hope not. Factory cab means I could blow the driveway open before leaving for work and not have the added time of getting geared up in warm clothes and having to shower afterward to get the diesel smell off. When dressed properly, I can be comfortable in an open station no matter what the weather. Warm gear and a snowmobile helmet will keep anyone from being uncomfortably cold. But it takes time to get that gear on and more time to take it off and put it away. I assume we all like to save time. If not, why would anyone have a 60" MMM vs a 42?

Have you considered the possibility of raising the height of your garage door? I have done it for customers. It's not that big of a job, but not all garage doors can be raised because of conflicts I realize.

The Kubota dealer says he has put the smaller tires on the b3000 for a half dozen customers and has not had any negative feedback. So the B3000 could be made to fit the lower garage. In the meantime, I have sort of fallen for the 3720. I prefer the ergonomics and nicer cab first off. Secondly, it's a more capable tractor. However, I am pretty sure I'd get along okay with the B3000 as my property isn't that big. As mentioned, I have some landscaping projects (building a retaining wall, leveling some areas of the yard, redoign a berm and planting trees on it, and taking out an existing tar drive and building a new one 20 feet away) but once I've completed them my demands of the tractor will be greatly reduced. So, now what???? My head says the Kubota will be enough tractor, but my heart is set on the JD!

So I'd love to hear from anyone with either the 3720 cab or Kubota B3000 (or B3030) about pro's and con's. How hard is it to switch from front mount snowblower to the FEL? How loud is the cab in the B3000? How problematic is it to have the brakes on the same foot as the hdst control?

Either way, I would like to make a decision in the next two days or so. I've got some wood to cut/haul this weekend and a tractor with a FEL will make it much more enjoyable!

It looks as though you are comparing apples to oranges between the two tractors; looks like you should be comparing the JD to a GL instead of B?

Go with the 3720. Never once have I heard someone say, "Man, did I ever get to much tractor!" People tend to go smaller just because of the savings in price but once you have the larger tractor you can't go back to the smaller. I have a 2001 JD 5410 (85HP Utility) and a 3120 (30 HP Compact Utility). Although the 3120 fits in some areas that the 5410 can't, I find myself using the 5410 MUCH more because of the power and how much more capable it is. My 3120 would do many of the tasks I do with the 5410 but the 5410 just does them much faster and it makes those strenuous situations with the 3120 look like childs work with the 5410. Keep the 3720 outside for the next 6 months, no big deal, if you weren't to buy it would sit on the dealers lot, outside, in the same conditions, you'll just have to brush some snow off. The JD is a much more capable machine though and you won't regret it. The cab alone on the JD to the Bota would sell me, you get nearly 2x the BTU's in heat, so your twice as warm in the winter. Plus I LOVE JD's cab and the ergonomics are excellent, personally I like them better then the Bota's. I would go with the 3720 without a doubt, listen to your heart and get the tractor better for the long term, when you have a barn and a place to put the machine instead of the short term where you get a tractor that will kinda sorta do what you want but it will fit in your garage so your stuck with it. Get the 3720, better long term.
