cabelas is discontinuing tractor sales

Cabela's will continue to service and support the tractors because their service departments support the other products that they continue to sell, boats, atv's utv's, and many of the techs are cross trained to service tractors and the other items. There is a good selection of product in the Cabela's inventory and it is going to be a buyers market. And the tractors are TYM so parts and service will always be available at the TYM dealers.
Just to be clear, I am a powersports outfitter at Cabela's and I have been selling the tractors and will continue to do so, but I am upfront with any customer about what is happening, for most people they are looking at the price and considering future service needs. But Cabela's will not turn their backs on their customers, that you can be sure of

HAHAHAH dude, you have no idea what your talking about. Cabelas is dumping on everybody that has purchased a tractor!

That post was from 2 years ago. If you have experience or something to contribute please do. Saying the are "dumping on everybody that has purchased a tractor" is a completely useless contribution.

There is always one in the crowd. Look up the new posts regarding the Cabelas tractor issue. I do have an issue I am dealing with and Cabelas is dumping on everybody!

Bass Pro's acquisition wasn't even on the radar when this thread ran it's course the first time through.

It's pretty sad if you're dealing with an orphaned brand which hasn't even outlived it's factory warranty yet.

What surprises me is that their hasn't been a class action started, after all this is America land of lawyers.

I guess I haven't even heard of any amount of dissatisfaction with the Cabelas tractors after 2 years. I know a couple people who said the prices they got were incredibly cheap . . But the tractors themselves and followup service was great.

Zero service after 12-31-17. None, nada, zip. Won"t provide parts let alone work on them. Service dept isn't owned by bass pro/cabelas any more. Third party boat company....

I'm just waiting till something breaks that is still covered. Bumper to bumper is over, but engine tranny still should have 18 months left. We'll see.....

Handloader,

You are missing a great deal of information you should already know and state in your posts.

1. Start with the fact you should have your warranty in writing.

2. You completely fail to recognize that Cabelas DID not have bankruptcy. Bass Pro bought them lock stock and barrel.

3. BassPro got whatever was Cabelas except the credit card business and that includes liabilities, and warranties on whatever was guaranteed by Cabelas in one form or another.

4. Now Cabelas or then BassPro can farm out the responsibility of service work to whoever . . . But they are still ultimately responsible for it.

5. Can I assume you haven't bothered to call corporate Cabelas or corporate Bass Pro to find out who in your area is responsible for any warranty service work on your unit? (let's recognize the responsibility would be based on area where you bought unit from - just in case you bought it 500 miles away).
The warranty service work for your unit might be done by a former Cabelas service center now operating under contract, or it could be contracted to a TYM dealer, or maybe there are still some service centers open too. Point is, that warranty responsibility to serve the areas where tractors were sold did not "disappear" - as Cabelas or BassPro or both owns those liabilities until warranty ends.

Why in the **** are you even posting about Cabela's tractors? You own one? Work for Cabelas or BPS?
:(

Do some background research and see what these owners have been through trying to get parts and service -- it sucks.
