Cabela's Tractors

Sorry to hear of your Cabela's TYM woes. Maybe before tanking your good credit try doing what's been suggested, and if none of the above work maybe try your State's attorney general's office. Likely they've received other complaints. Many times situations like yours require documentation of the failed attempts to get service under the warranty, and proof that you've tried all available avenues. Unfortunately when consumers get screwed by companies we are the ones who have to prove we've been screwed and how many times before we get any relief. We're guilty until we prove someone else actually is the one doing the screwing. Don't give up. I'd bet your local TYM dealer's don't want to get involved, BUT they may be required by the parent company to take on your tractor, they just don't want to unless told to by the corporate HQ. Hopefully once you get the issues repaired you will have a decent machine for many years to come!

I have been dealing with a cabela's store here in NC. What state would the Cabelas be in or should I call BPS? Thanks.

Have you contacted the store you bought it from yet?

I would start there, go all the way to the store manager if you have to.

If they can稚 help contact the regional manager for your store.

I知 sure Cabelas didn稚 actually finance your tractor, so it won稚 hurt them to let it go back.

I have a LM554HST that was purchased 9/16.
Cabelas and TYM have broke terms of agreement. The warranty is not valid with any TYM dealers at all. Their dealers wont even work on them, even if you pay them. I lost the four wheel drive axle bearing and all the fluid in the front end. I need a new front axle. No one wants to work on it and when you find someone that does TYM doesn't want to sell them parts. Cabelas is working on getting it fixed, but what happens when warranty ends? I get they don't want to cover the parts, but the dealer reactions to being paid to make a repair is wrong. They act like we don't have choices on services and to some degree we don't, but some of us will buy another tractor at some point. I can promise you I wont buy anything TYM makes ever again.

This is gonna get ugly!

Who says TYM won't work on them?

MY TYM dealer does and in the past, Cabelas has paid him to work on a Cabelas tractor for warr. work...

Yes it is. I have two more years of warranty. Josh Stein needs to get involved in this. Maybe a class action lawsuit is in order. Scott from Garner as called me a few times over the last few months and told me a bunch of **** about how he is trying to get it worked out. All BS. I have not spent another cent in Cabela's and it cost them a $40K boat sale.

To the owners of Cabela's tractors that still have warranty. Looks like we are left out on our own to get repairs. I have two problems that need repairing. I thought I had two more years of warranty. When I bought the tractor a year ago they said they would continue to repair them even though they stopped selling. I should have known that was a lie. I have bought my last item from them. When I called the service dept at Cabela's I was told that tym dealers would handle the repairs now. That was a lie also. I have called two tym dealers local to me and they won't touch them even if I pay for the repair. So I have probably made the last payment on my LM45H. Maybe DLL Finance will take it up with Cabela's. May be time to Lawyer up.

Wow- that is a real bummer.

Wonder where (Tractor Guy) went...

i remember the statements about Cabelas being in it for the Long run.

advising Cabela's about the important things that need to be in place in order to be successful. Quality product, great parts & service support, a focus on customer service, competitive pricing and stablility.

The irony of those that question Cabela's commitment to this new business is that we all know that many brands move in and out of dealerships, and countless customers have been left holding the bag over the years.

That some want to put Cabela's in that same category is not seeing the difference between a company with an iconic brand, that dares to put that iconic brand on the tractors they offer, not to mention putting it alongside of the Woods name, as they would those that have not made that kind of commitment.

The Cabela's name is not on the tractors as a way to get people to pay more, it is on them as a statement of quality and customer service, and that is how they became the company that they are.

Another statement

putting the Cabela's name on the tractors was not done to get a higher price,

it was done to signal that we will stand behind the product.

As for why Cabela's has partnered with Tong Yang Moolsan, it is because as almost everyone who knows the product would agree, it is a very well made tractor. Also, the Tong Yang employees are really terrific people to work with.

Cabelas was sold to Bass Pro Shops. That is what ended the tractor business for them. Bass Pro wanted nothing to do with tractors.

Update: Now after a a week the servicing dealer has decided he cant work on it as we discussed. It is being moved next week to another dealer that will work on it, but I will have to pay for it since he doesn't want to wait or deal with Cabelas on payment. I run a business and I get it.

I just want the tractor fixed, but I feel like this is gonna get to be a problem. Who is Josh Stein?

You have just reminded me why I bought a 1050 hour Ford 1920, and then restored it to like new.
Time to go hug my 1920 again.
