Bottom line is they are responsible for the repair as my contract states a bumper to bumper three year warranty. If they (Cabelas) cant perform the repair than they are responsible to reimburse you legally. It may take a judge or magistrate, but it can be done. I was informed that each individual case needs to be separate. My suggestion if you have parts and labor less than that you need to file a small claims action. Small claims in Wake County is max $10,000.

Once I confirm payment or non payment I will let you guys know. We can meet and discuss strategy going forward since some of these are covered for 5 years.

UPDATE: Tractor was picked up and Cabelas payed the labor of $1,600. I am still waiting on the payment from corporate for $4,000.00! The dealer I took it to now no longer works on TYM/Cabelas tractors. Here we go again finding a good service dealer. It truly is an orphaned tractor!

There is No cabelas left..... at least not as they were 3 years ago. They are all Bass Pro with cabelas on the sign. This is the problem...... Bass Pro.

And this is why I won't buy a rebranded tractor. If I want a TYM tractor I will buy a TYM tractor.

These instances reflect on TYM as well though. You would think they would step up to the plate and take care of these people.

The problem is this.... Cabellas was a importer of tractors from TYM. That means they accepted them as is and they offered whatever kind of warranty they wanted to. So the warranty was administered by Cabellas and paid out of pocket on the tractors that broke. That's how a lot of vendors do it with OEM's. It makes the items much cheaper on the front end. They might only have to pay the OEM 1/2 the actual sales price in List $$'s. So, what happens you ask when a company is bought out by another. Well, that's what is the big question in this case. What did Bass Pro shops assume for debt and other contracts from Cabellas. If they did not accept the tractor warranties then basically the original Cabellas company is still the handler of those warranties. If Bass Pro accepted all of the Cabellas contracts then they are responsible (this determines who gets sued when no one wants to pay to repair the items). This would also be true for who is responsible in a class action suit but most likely any lawyer group would just sue everyone and make the court system hash out who can get excluded. (and most likely no one would be fully excluded in this case IMO depending of course on how iron clad the TYM contract with Cabellas would be). All of this combines to the current finger pointing and non handling of repairs as stated here. The thing is like one poster mentioned with Bass Pro taking over the Cabellas name as well they do have some responsibility for the warranty. How much will probably end up in court as people try to get their money back for warranty repairs that are not paid out. And dealers as independent contractors for TYM America don't have to service the equipment if they don't want to. Just like any business who doesn't want to work with customers they deem not fit.

In summary, It'll take owners with broken equipment years to settle the score and years worth of lawyers fees as well. The contracts that are written with the warranty statements will have to be taken through the court system if no one wants to pay for repairs. It might even get to the original owners of Cabellas as it too will depend on the contracts that Bass Pro wrote when they accepted whatever from Cabellas upon purchase of the company.

I really liked those tractors and had considered a purchase at one time. It's a shame it's gone this way with them.

Well, tym was paid fully for the tractors when cabelas bought them. And FWIW woods was paid for all the fels and tillers and other implements that they made for cabelas. Tym doesn't owe me anything really, but I do think that if it is same warranty as a tym, yes they are a bit culpable as they built the tractors.

I would think that is bashing tym doesn't do them any favors. But so far, I haven't needed anything under warranty that cabelas failed to provide. I've got a bit longer on the engine and tranny we will see

Isn't the 855 a Yanmar? Same with Sears, Sears never built tractors...

So, many "common" tractors are rebranded and the owners don't even know it. Deere sold a LOT of green Zetors as deere's.

Buying a tractor with no warranty in not really the problem here as I got a great deal on a tractor. I like the tractor and only have one problem, the display is bad. The problem is being flat out lied to. They led me to believe that would take care of the tractor for three years even though BPS was buying them out. Took me to the shop where I met Maxx the "tractor mechanic". Come to find out that Maxx knew nothing about tractors at all.

I took the tractor back to them when it only had 12 hours on it for them to replace the display. I was told it was fixed, when I got it back home I had the same problem. Come to find out they didn't put a new display in. So I tell scott that I am bringing it back in. That's when he tells me that they no longer work on tractors. Scott is a lying sob. Now he will not even return my calls. I was about to buy a new boat from them but because of this I went to Chatlee. That cost them a $45K sale. Not worth me getting a lawyer for a $400 part I can put in myself. Now if the engine of or other major part broke it may be different. I would join a class action lawsuit though.

Help Needed at Fort Bragg, NC with Repairing 2014 Cabela's LM35H.
Is there anywhere to get repair work and or replacement parts for these anymore?
I have contacted both Cabelas and TYM, neither seem to know much at all about my 2014 LM35H.
I am looking for the Controller Assembly, part number 1472-680-210-3.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
