So I should be able to pick up my tractor next week, with the bill going over $5,600. I will let everyone know once I do and talk to Scott Burnette at Cabelas. Basically they are now saying they can warranty parts from Korea, but they will not give a timeline. Too late for me because when I asked this question before Scott said they would just pay for the repair. When the dealer wanted the deposit for the parts Cabelas Corporate put the brakes on it is what Scott Burnette said.
Bottom line is they are responsible for the repair as my contract states a bumper to bumper three year warranty. If they (Cabelas) cant perform the repair than they are responsible to reimburse you legally. It may take a judge or magistrate, but it can be done. I was informed that each individual case needs to be separate. My suggestion if you have parts and labor less than that you need to file a small claims action. Small claims in Wake County is max $10,000.
Once I confirm payment or non payment I will let you guys know. We can meet and discuss strategy going forward since some of these are covered for 5 years.
UPDATE: Tractor was picked up and Cabelas payed the labor of $1,600. I am still waiting on the payment from corporate for $4,000.00! The dealer I took it to now no longer works on TYM/Cabelas tractors. Here we go again finding a good service dealer. It truly is an orphaned tractor!
