Cabinet Building

You guys are killing me! At our old house I built a nice little woodshop in the basement. Kept all the dust under control and I built a number of very nice pieces that now sit in our new house. Problem is new house does not yet have the woodshop enclosed. I'm working in an unfinished basement and taking major grief for dust everywhere. Gotta finish the porch railing yet this winter, then it's off to summer projects (outside) so it won't be until next fall 'til I get an enclosed shop again. Can't wait!

Glad to hear the rest of you are making chips fly /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Pete:

Cheer up. That will only be a small start on the list.

Picture of some kitchen cabinets I built many a year ago.

Very nice cabinets, Egon.

I'm sure while you were building those, you had a lot of chips and sawdust flying!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Gary:

Wore out a belt sander too. They started as 2x4, 2x6 and 1x6 spruce lumber. Had to buy the counter top though. No particle board or other such stuff, all solid wood.

But what I'm most proud of is the top left corner piece in the facia on the ceiling. It's tiangular, beveled edges and fits and done on the radial arm saw. Only took two tries to get it right.

That was still back in the days when I wasn't spatialy orientated challenged.

My wife made all the pottery on the counter.
