Believe me the fender cracking is just the start of your problems. There is a plate that New Holland welded under the back of the engine right where the brackets for the loader bolt onto the tractor. Of course the brackets are five times stronger than the frame. The plate started cracking before the frame broke at the bolt holes for the loader mounting bracket. Take picture of your tractor where it is cracking and post them onto the site and send them to your dealer and also to New Holland . The frame is NOT heavy (strong) enough to be used with a loader. The point where the loader mounts is the weakiest point of the frame. Even when i moved dirt with my tractor you could feel the tractor twisting has i turned on flate grade with the loader bucket as low as i could with out dragging the bucket on the ground. It still flexed even when going realy slow. After my frame was fixed it still flexes but not like it did before. My fender is cracked and New Holland bought me a fender and the support kit but I have to install it. I have had my tractor back three times because of electrical problems . The gas gauge, back lites and head lites. The dealer mechanic came over to my home to fix the wiring the first time and pried my fender up to fix the gas gauge and back lites. i could not belive my eyes when i saw him do this. Instead of taking it apart and fixing it correctly he pried it upwards to get at the wiring . Keep complaining to your dealer and make it his problem and New Hollands. DO NOT pay anything out of you pocket. Just do your own labor if you can. Ron Madding 815-671-0911

I just finished reading all the post. Yes the right side frame rail broke totaly in half. The shop I had do the work put the frame back into its correct location then welded it. he then cleaned all paint from the areas he was going to weld. He then marked out for the holes in the frame so to bolt it into place. He then put all the bolts into place and then welded it into place. He then removed the bolts . As you know the frame is a stamped unit. It is mild steel not tempered. So an enginer friend recomended that it should be 100 % welded for best strenght. I talked to the guy that made up the plates and he charges $150 for the pair with out the holes drilled. RON MADDING 815-671-0911

My frame broke above the front tire. I was pushing into a pile of sand and heard a ping sound.

I have started contacting the dealer. Let you know how it goes.

I bought the plate and fixed my fender a while back. New Holland was not any help on any of it. I even emailed New Holland directly a couple of times, and never heard back from them. My fender just started to crack before I put the plate under it. It has 90+ hours on it, but it is not under warranty. I am the second owner. I bought it at 50hrs. When I did the 50hr service, I found all of the fel bolts loose.

You guys are really making me think of selling it before I start running into real problems.

I bought my TZ24DA in February 2006. I use it to maintain the 7 acres where I just built a house. I have a 60" mmm, 4 ft brush hog, 5' grader blade, 6ft landscape rake, PTO spreader, and I am going to purchase a 4ft box blade this spring. I also purchased it with weighted ag tires and front weights.

I'ver used it to put in 3 acres of newly seeded lawn (I mow 6 total acres with it), including spreading 200+ tons of topsoil as the soil is mostly clay on my property, numerous landscaping projects, snow removal etc. I have slightly over 200 hours on it, and so far it has been worth every penny.

I have over 230 hours on my TZ25. I blow over 1000+ft of driveway, cut 3 acres of hilly lawn and used this little thing to level ground last year. Lots of ground. I would buy again in a heartbeat! Kinda funny, my neighbors bigger cut can't cut close to things like I can. Maybe bigger isn't always better?

Well you guys are making me feel better here. I don't use mine for heavy duty stuff, just what I feel it should be able to do. I have the fel, a 4ft box blade, and a 5ft Bush Hog finishing mower on the back. I do plan to make a cover for the hydro filter though. That was a bad idea in my mind.

Been a while since this one has been hit so I will bring to the top.

Bought my TZ24DA with 109hrs, now has 278hrs. I guess I should feel luck, cause I have moved tons of dirt and pushed snow with my FEL. Only thing I have broke is the brackets on the bucket. No problems with the frame at all. I have the 48" FEL, 54"MMM and rear 6" blade.
If I need extra weight on the back, I simply put on the 6' rear blade. I use it mostly now to mow 4 acres of lawn and push snow.
Only other issue I had was fwd & rear creep, but that was the linkage slipping on the output shaft on the pump, put in compression pin and fixed that.
Like others, I would buy again in a heartbeat, i wish I had bought much earlier and saved me alot of sore back muscles.

Guys, could use a little help with my little NH/CIH tractor. I have a Case DX24E same as TZ24 NH and it now has a running problem. It runs great for about 15 min when mowing and then it starts choking down. The rpm's start falling and it completly looses power to the point that it will shudder and finally shut down. Let it cool for 2 min and it runs for another few.

A little history is I have changed the fuel filter a couple of times and had to replace the return line (from the filter to tank). The tractor has 115 hours on it and everything else it great.

This tractor is great for my yard needs (I mow 3 acres and have steep hills) and except for this problem I couldn't be happier.

Has anyone any ideas on this?

The same thing happened to me last year. It would start but once I put it in gear it would stall. I replaced the fuel filter(s) and everything was fine. I am at my 300 hour maintenance and I had not changed it since the 100 hour service.
