Hello all,
I’ve had by BX24 since 2007 and it has served me well. A few bumps and bruises, but in general, a workhorse.
Recently, I’ve had a problem with pushing down on the heel reverse pedal with no response. There also seems to be very little resistance in the pedal. If I push down on the forward a couple of times, it will then go in reverse.
I took out my mower deck and took a look underneath to further understand how the pedals work and are linked. What I have learned recently, is that if I put one foot on the forward and the other on the reverse, I can “create” the resistance and the reverse works. After looking at the schematic below, I am focusing on the gas shock/strut #160 as possibly failing.
Any thoughts or similar experiences.
