Can anyone read Kohler serial numbers?

Hey all,

I'm looking to find out the age of the BCS 715 I have for sale. I've been told BCS doesn't keep serial number records, so I'm looking to find out the age of the Magnum 8 Kohler engine on it. Spec number is 301585 Serial Number is 2132908102

That information should be available on the Kohler web site, although it may take some digging.

Look way down the page of this link and you will see 301585 for the Magnum 8.

Bill,
On the last page of this Magnum manual the following dates are listed:
Manual first published 1985. It was revised in 2001. It sounds like the Magnum series was manufactured for at least 16+ years. This does not get you the exact date, but maybe this is some help.
