I forgot to add that if your are over by 2000# or 1000# with a CDL your are also subject to arrest.

this is from a state where throwing a cigarette butt out a car window is a crime subject upto 6 months in jail, and a third offense is a felony.

a police officer told me that having a ( driving on ) expired tag that is ? 6 ( can't remember the # he told me ) month expired is a felony..e tc. weird huh!

I am not sure on the overweight fee based system where the fine starts, but over a certain amount is like $2-3 a pound.

Allowable single axle weight is 20,000 lbs, 32,000 for a tandem. I have no idea how they would classify those carts. I doubt they have brakes on them either, in addition to being an oversized load.

Probably like they would a super single? They are an "implement of husbandry" so brakes probbaly aren't required any more than they would be on a planter or a plow...
