Bad News for that as a lot of old farmers dont get any older because of this exact happening.

Forgot it was in gear. Thought I could snug the solenoid nut without touching anything else. It momentarily shorted and learched forward. Imeditly rolling into leg and pinning me. The wrench was dropped clear, but solenoid somehow started engaged? While using me as a speed bump, it repeatedly learched forward about every 5 seconds. First going over my bent left leg and finally onto both legs And hip. Seemed like I was pinned 2 minutes as it chomped away at me and pushed up against a 10' secured gate in middle of barn. Once cleared I pulled myself up by hands to knock out if gear. It inedible went into reverse for round two 
. I was able to quickly find neutral and call 911.
I now have a brand new total hip replacement among other injuries.
This maybe needs its own post as a warning how fast things can go wrong and how you can't be too careful.

In a positive note I did get the clutch adjusted & working properly before this happened. I ky now in not sure I can keep this tractor to be reminded. It keeps flashing up like a horror movie.

I have a question on those tractors, do they have a manual fuel shutoff pull cable, or is the throttl epushed forward, or is it key on / off fuel shutoff?

I am always holding the clutch pedal down by hand and starting my tractor. Before I do this however I always put the shuttle shift into neutral, Main shifter into neutral , and high/low shifter into neutral.
My grandfather had the safety switches bypassed on his 100HP Ford/new Holland tractor and started it in gear, luckily it knocked him back instead of running over him and eventually got tangled up in enough fence wire after taking out a few fences to get stopped. He was in his 80's at the time.
Tractor safety cannot be over stated.
