I read some where that in 2019 the EPA will allow no water runoff from farms so I guess the federal goverment will control rainfall.

No, they just want to be able to determine WHO will farm.

I'm looking into placing a catalytic converter on my cow's butt...if nothing else maybe the barn will smell better at 5:00 in the morning.

I don't quite get where you are coming from. Are you making lite of me wanting the world to be better on the enviroment?

I would like fresh water and air for my kids in the future. I am not a tree hugger be no means. I just don't want to see nuclear waste getting disposed of improperly.

Like I said we got to live, and that should come first.

Quite frankly, yes...nowhere in your OP did you say anything about nuclear waste. With the half-life of most radioactive isotopes being considered, I do not think we have been disposing of radioactive waste long enough to even know if we are or are not disposing of it properly. Point is...you are preaching to the choir...you WILL NOT find better stewards of the land than the farmers, tractor owners and acreage owners on this site...your efforts would be more effectively absorbed by generating such comments toward a more "non-earth friendly" crowd. The folks on this site are NOT your target audience.

Air and water may be the least of our worries in the future.

And to think, just 10,000 years ago the Sahara was verdant Savannah land! :)

Thats before the rascally loggers had their way with it.

I think I posted in here a while back about being in the "middle" of the desert and finding clam shells. I was actually standing on an old coral reef.

Makes one feel -------------- insignificant.

I'll tell you what's frustrating. The USA has a stadium full of laws and regulation and taxes involving the environment and saving the planet, yet Countries like China, Vietnam, Mexico, India, etc. pollute in unprecedented ways.

Do a search and you will see full raw sewage flowing from MEXICO into the United states, in India they beach ships and cut them up using 10 year olds right on the beach dumping every toxin known to man in the ocean.

China, well enough said there. In Mexico you can not hardly see across the street from all the air pollution.

Listen I want a clean planet just like the next guy, but anything we do in this small Country doesn't add up to a hill of beans while other Countries pollute 100 times per person more than we do.

Ya ya I get if we didn't do what we do the planet would be worse.....I say what we are doing is like spitting on a forest fire.
