That's what I thought I would do as well. I brought home four pallets, two of them smaller, from work. This weekend I will use deck screws and my impact driver to put a box on the best sized pallet.

I used some old pressure 2x10 after I salvaged them. They perfactly span the top and bopttom using 3 boards for the floor and the back. The board were in service for 20 years and shrunk about 1/2" to 3/4". I assigned them new duty for another 20 years.

I did not know what it would weigh but was hoping that I would be able to move at least half a pallet and if your weight is a good estimate I should be able to move at least a 1/2 pallet of grass. You can usually get the people to move them close to where you need most of grass when they deliver the pallets without tearing up everything so if tractor can move the rest closer to final resting spot, so be it.

Bolted a half sheet of 3/4" plywood, and a couple of office chairs to mine. Tote two old women and a couple of berry baskets to the fartherest briar patch.
I just picked one up at TSC yesterday. They have their new supply of Farm Force implements, but had one old rusty King Kutter carryall. I compared the 2 brands, and KK is a beast compared to the new stuff. KK is rated for 1000lbs, while Farm Force is 500lbs. KK uses much heavier and wider angle iron. Botht were the same price so I bought the KK. TSC through in a couple cans of paint to cover the rust.
I plan to use it to carry a 55 gallon plastic drum to water trees, and to carry my 25 gallon 12volt sprayer with boom. After seeing some of these great ideas, I will be using it more than I thought.

I built my own rear carry forks years ago for my Ford 1210.
They got so much use, I ended up building another set of them.
I didn't have an FEL with that tractor, so the rear forks did all the heavy lifting.
Uses:
-Go get yourself 5 or 10 pallets, as you can "palletize" a lot of tools, like Generators and such. I had a generator with air compressor screwed to a pallet, I could get AC power and compressed air to anywhere the tractor could get to.
- I stacked my firewood on pallets, then during woodstove season, it was as easy as picking up a pallet of seasoned split firewood, and setting it by the back door. When that was used, fork-up the empty pallet and bring a fresh one.
-Speaking of firewood, I would cut approx. 5 foot long logs, and haul them with the rear forks to a better suited place to be cut and split.
-Any large deliveries can be moved with ease, washing machine, dryer, freezer...etc. In my new home I moved my Jotul woodstove all the way to the threshold of the basement door. Everyone knows how heavy woodstoves can be, it made moving it childs play.
I would say that the Carry-all is an overlooked and under-appreciated attachment, I found, for years, without having and FEL, that it became
the default attachment that stayed hooked up.
Oh, lastly, we bolted a 6' by 8' piece of chain link fencing to it and dragged local baseball fields for grooming purposes.

A buddy of mine makes deer/turkey hunting blinds using the carry-all as the base for the blind. He bolts the blind to it, and moves them around as he sees fit. They are very sturdy, and comfortable, as weight is not an issue.

The TSC site shows the picture of the KK. The Farm force that I saw had a FF sticker with the 500# rating on the sticker. The 2 cross pieces on the KK are welded so both flats of the angle are 45 degrees to the uprights, if that makes sense (from the end the cross piece looks like a '<'). The FF cross pieces are perpedicular (from the end the cross piece looks like a 'L'). Difficult to explain but the KK had more welded surfaces that way. The KK was also built with 3" angle iron. My KK had the same SKU #2128210, as did the other Farm force brand carryalls on display. Anyway, just be careful before buying something from TSC unless you look at the item close, since they are selling more than one design under the same SKU.

Thanks for the follow-up Ford 850. I went out and measured my Farm Force by Tartergate carry-all. It's also made of 3" angle iron. It doesn't have a 500 sticker on it. Just says "Farm Force by Tartergate" and "Powder Coated"

I e-mailed tartergate and requested clarifcation. I will also call the TSC 3 pt product mgr/buyer in Nashville and ask him. I don't want a 500 lb capacity carry-all as I am sure to break it within a few months. I am going to pick up very big maple logs and I also want to use it for ballast with my FEL and grappe combo.
I'll let you know what I hear back.

If yours is 3" angle, it is probably rated at 1000#. The FF I saw was either 2" or 2 1/2" angle iron. Much lighter weight. Light enough that when I walked over to pick one out I thought "oh crap that will never hold up for how Iwill use it". Then I saw the older KK sitting behind them. I've read on here before that TSC is getting FF from 2 different suppliers now, but I'm disappointed they are mixing the grades for the same price. Maybe my TSC has the FF priced wrong. $117 for a 500 rating seems like too much.
