That was fun!! I like the wheels up on launch. A buudy of mine had a 9 second Camaro. I hit my head HARD on the rollcage when I went for a ride.

Ah, the Dino Spyder what a beautiful car! I owned quite a few Fiats when I was a kid, my first brand new one was a 76' X-1/9 what a fun car, but really lived up to the "Fix It Again Tony" acronym. The only good part was that the dealer always gave a new loaner car to drive when in for service so I got to learn all about throwing FWD cars around at Fiats expense.

Actually my favorite car that I have owned is the one I am driving now - a 2003 BMW 530. My second favorite was my first truck, a '71 ford with a 390 engine. Had well over 125,000 miles with only routine maintenance until I sold to a friend who rebuilt the engine and ran it for years.

My two favorite family cars were first: a '57 pontiac which I just had to drive even though I was still 13 when we got it at the end of 1956. So I snuck out of the house, picked up a friend and went out to the beach where there was a long stretch of straight road. We buried the needle at 150 and I haven't driven a car that fast since (although I was a passenger in a mercedes taxi on the Autobahn in Germany and did go that fast).

My second favorite family car was a '52 98 olds that I also snuck out with when I was 13 (a few months later). That's when I got into my first accident and wasn't allowed to drive until I was 16 and got a license.

Red Car : 1933 Chevy Coupe.
The first car that I can remember my dad having was one of these.
He was driving it when he had the only accident that was his fault.
I remember going to Canton, Ohio in it one very cold winter day. The passenger side window was out of it and the heater wasn't working. What A miserable trip. I thought I was going to freeze to death way before we ever got there.
Back then It took half a day to make the 150 mile journey on the crooked hilly highway Rt. 21. Today it's about 2.5 hours on I-77. Ah the good old days; but what was so good about them?

My favorite of all time is the one we have right now, a 2002 Saab 9-5. It is a great car! Leather seats, wood trim, the glove box has a cooling vent to keep your favorite beverage at 45 degrees. Comfortable, fast with that turbo and economical enough to get 32 on the highway.

But the cars I have WANTED were a 280SL, an Austin Healey 3000 and an XKE. Never could fit them in to my situation.

Worst car was my first car, a '56 Ford; stayed away from Fords for 20 years after that one.

My Ist would be a 1970 mach I , 351 cleveland , 4v , 4-speed , dual exhaust , black on black , bought it well used , 100,000 miles , still ran and looked good . drove it to daytona beach one time , ( no a/c ) # 2 1968 torino gt fastback , 302 4-speed , moon gears , ran 90 mph in third gear stock with 90,000 miles on it , ran better when I put 351 heads on it and a 4v . # 1969 fairlane 2dr hardtop 351w , auto , 410 gears , built up engine years ago , was fast back then , , still have it , needs a little seat time , wonder if it will start ..........

Most fun MGB conv. Worst MGB conv. Best on gas MGB conv (can't burn much fuel when broken in driveway all the time). Can you say "lucas electrical"...

The 2 I miss most are a 66 Dodge Charger (built it from a wreck, had a total of about $1800 in it & it looked GOOD until an old man made an illegal left turn in front of me on the highway) in 1982, & a 74 Dodge Dart I bought in 1992 from the high desert of New Mexico. Over 18 months I rebuilt the suspension better than new, reupholsered the interior, added factory A/C & a very adequite sound system, & tuned the 318 so that I was getting a steady 18 MPG with my lead foot, only to have it wrecked by an 18 YO girl turning left in front of me on my way home from work one afternoon.

1*I had a 1971 Chevelle Malibu Convertible.
Bought it new for $3300.oo.
Classic Copper and a white top.
Very sharp looking car.
V8 3 speed on the column.

UP DATE:
Back when I bought This new 71 chevelle convertible A Girl who I've known all my life bought a new red Mustang convertible.
At the time I made the above post She still had the Mustang as far as I knew but I wasn't sure.
I saw her one day last week so I asked her if she still has it and she does.
She said her and her husband just had it completely restored.
I can't wait to see it.
