case 4210 splitting problem

Hi, I have got a cas 4210 with cab, can any one tell me how to split back axle from gearbox I seem to remember you have to take the pto shaft out and drop pto clutch thanks.

what are you trying to do? to take a axle out,put a jack under the rear end take the tire off.then take a engine lift hook it to the axle and unbolt it.

Hi, I am trying to remove the gearbox because cogs in there are damaged, by back axle I mean where it bolts to the whole thing in the middle , the gear box is also bolted at bell houseing end where I have not yet un bolted . At the rear of the gearbox it only seems to want to seperate by about half an inch I guess the pto shaft or something has say a pin that has to be removed to allow gear box to be taken out thanks.

get a stand ,with wheels,and attach it to the front.unbolt it at the bell housing.then roll it apart.be sure and block the rear end up.you should then be able to get it apart.
