Cat. 1 PTO output shaft profile.

IIs there a significant difference between the profile cut on a Kubota tractor PTO output stub-shaft and others?

I have a Walterscheid PTO shaft that will fit on and release from a brand new Kubota tractor but will fit but NOT release when I use it on our Yanmar. Perhaps I've misunderstood but I thought Cat.1 on an ABC tractor was identical to Cat.1 on an XYZ tractor.

I didn't think Cat. I had anything to do with the PTO.

I thought it only had to do with the size and hole diam. of the lift arms of the 3pt.

Pto shaft on your Kubota is a 1 3/8" by 6 spline. Pto shafts also come in an 1 1/8 diameter and a 1 3/8 21 spline. The latter is commonly used on 1000rpm implements. If shaft diameter and spline count are the same on both, I would look for a burr on the output shaft of the Yanmar.
