Two things, a wet eye you just want to rub but don't and truck load of gravel it feels like, doesn't llast long and I can read unassisted already, hourly eyedrops I put up with for the momnt.
Hard eye patch to bed for a week.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, and excellent vision in the future.

I appreciate all the comments both negative and positive as I may consider getting the op done in the future. Now my eyes are not too bad really but I need glasses for driving with tinted crystal lenses. I can't wear sunglasses as they are too dark for driving. I like flying model planes so I need good long vision. I wear the same glasses ( 1x power) for that. 1.5 x power for reading computer etc. I just long for the vision I used to have.
The 1 x power glasses allow me to see long distance but also read the car instruments when driving. I cant read them without the glasses.

Photochromic sunglasses can be tuned to your specifications, darrkness and speed of transition.

I haven't looked at those as I thought they were for colour blindness. Thanks bunyip.

I had a friend who used to make them, he sold the business and don't know if they still do, Spotters, if not a good optician should be able to point you in the right direction.
They are also sold as transitionals.
My everyday glasses had these lenses that darkened when I went outside but they don't work well in the car as you are not in direct light and it can confuse them.

OK now, original poster here.
Tomorrowç—´ my turn, the surgical center just called to be sure we are COVID free and to remind me no food or drink after 11:00 PM. Whope...
We will have to leave home by 0600 in the morning to make the appointment time which means rolling out of the sack by 0500 about two hours earlier than usual but no biggie.

Certinally appreciate everyoneç—´ participation in this thread and look (pun intended) to bringing everyone into focus on the outcome.

18 on the schedule for Wednesday... I clock in at 4am to make sure everything is ready for the patients that are waiting at the door at 5:30am

Recent Covid Negative within 72 hours and patient only allowed in unless special assistance required...

Procedures cancelled all the time when patients eat...

Getting in early is the right way to go if you can... don't want to be one going in at noon not having eaten since yesterday.

People are always saying I must be a morning person but by the time they are me I've already been a couple of hours.

Modern automotive glass is UV blocking to protect the interior. Photosensitive glasses operate on UV.

I am back...
I am blown away that a virtually painless fifteen minute procedure can create such an amazing life changing event. After yesterday’s procedure I now see colors and details I have not seen for the last five years including reading a tape measure and the printed page with out a magnifier. This morning I was fitted with new glasses and prescription sun glasses ground for distance clarity and a reassurance that the new lense was happy in it’s new home.

A huge shout out to Dr. Clint Simpson of Speciality Eye Institute of Lansing and Jackson, Michigan and the Genesis Surgical Center of Lansing, Michigan.
The procedure came off with out a glitch and at exactly the appointed time. Any Michigan (or beyond) TBN Members these guys know their trade and no, this is not a paid political advertisement.
A very happy camper

Glad to hear it went well, I have to wait 4-5 weeks before I get glasses, mine was not laser but microsurgery, I was deemed not suitable for laser, cost nothing so happy with the price:D
