CBD Oil for arthritis

I take 10mg of Prednisone in the evening and wake a new man. I'm able to get dressed, make coffee, cook breakfast and get in at least 5-6 hours of work done before my knuckles are swollen and hurt so bad I can barely hold a glass or turn on the water. Then I drop 1000mg of Acetaminophen. After about a hour, that will carry me to the next evening dose Prednisone. It's the only thing that works for me.

I've been on 10mg of Methotrexate for about four years. The doctor bumped it up to 15mg last fall. I haven't felt a change. I've been on three weekly injection meds in those four years and those didn't seem to help. The "bio-meds" aren't working for me. Now they want to try another. I feel like a guinea pig.

By the way, that stuff is still illegal in Texas. I might try it but not at the risk of going to jail or loosing my carry license.

My father (texas resident) did his testing up here in Maine. the low dose THC and CBD worked wonders although in the beginning when testing dosages he got pretty high. he stayed up here for a month dosing low THC:CBD and he quickly got to a point where he didnt need any sort of pain medication. he went back home last year and is back on his typical regimen of everything you just listed, methatrexate, Humira, prednisone (i think), along with probably 20 other things. its illegal in Texas so he just does what the docs tell him to do. Like you its not worth the risk of losing your CHL, although up here its constitutional carry ;-) although i doubt he could even fire a handgun now days since the rheumatoid has turned his hands into penguin flippers.

From reading this thread, this seems to be very much a YMMV product. How do you tell the "good stuff" from the snake oil? Is it just trial & error, or are there sources that are known to be legit? Hard to tell with something as controversial as this.

There are legit sources... Also new research is being done everyday that is backing up the benefits of CBD.

I would say if your looking to try it, definitely don’t take it for 2 days and quit, take it for 30/60 days and give it a chance.

I have tried cbd oil in both cream and oil form. None of it has ever done a thing for me that I could tell. I have a lot of back and neck pain from multiple surgeries and would love it if this stuff would give me a little relief. I know several people that it is helping with various problems everyday. The latest CBD oil that I tried was recommended to me by a physical therapist. She said that it helped her and many others that she recommended it to. It didn't do a thing for me as far as I could tell:

Is there something else out there that is better/different/stronger than this?

I see where some of you are taking 5000mg or 2500mg a day. In the link posted above 1000mg costs $110. That would make 5000 mg $550 a day!!! Is there something I don't know?

There is also a prescription version of the Voltaren stuff that is 10X better ,
that is called PENNSAID,,

The problem with PENNSAID, is that the prescription stuff is CRAZY expensive!
(like over $ 1,000 a tube)

If you research PENNSAID on the internet,, there is a video on the PENNSAID website that alludes to the fact that PENNSAID is derived from DMSO.

For the last several months I have been using all three with similar results.
The BIG difference is that the DMSO lasts longer than the PENNSAID, and that lasts longer than the Voltaren.

I do not use DMSO exclusively,, because, DMSO is an industrial solvent,,,

One other thing I have tried recently is Aspercreme,, that stuff gives me pretty good relief from sore muscles,, when "I over do it".

@mohsinsangani Thanks for sharing the information. Arthritis is something related to bones and joints that can be observed in old age. However, I don't have any experience with CBD oil to treat joint pain. I can recommend an online pharmacy named Canada Drugs for the online medicines to treat Arthritis. Hope it helps.
