I built one of these years ago. Seeing this thread, I may build another. I used a set of plans by Gil Gilpatrick. He has a complete and detailed book on how to build one, including plans and templates for the strongback. (I have no relationship with Gilpatrick, except I have met him, and liked his plans. I put a few more strips on. Lots of glue everywhere. I didnt really take the time to wipe it off with a wet rag. Just wiped off the runs. With all the sanding to come I dont think it should matter.
Looks like something you should be proud of. I have seen those at the local boat show... I would be afraid to put something that beautiful in the water and mess it up. But I am still tempted to build one.. and seeing your work is making it more tempting. How many hours do you have into it at this point, or are you wise enough not to be keeping track?
