Ken's bolt on hooks are fine. I have them on my Quickie FEL on my 3930. The 1/2" diameter grade 8 bolts are a whole lot stronger the the 3/8" chain. The mounting and brackets are well made and tough.

Agree with those above ^^^^^

I like and kind of prefer the weld on idea. BUT if they are welded wrong and / or onto the wrong type or thickness of material or the wrong angle they are a lot weaker than the bolt on idea.

If the material is thin a backing plate should be used in either application.

This is what I did, fabed up from 2x2x1/4 inch angle iron and slots cut for 1/4 or 5/16 chain.... Grade 8 bolts....
