Whichever brand you decide on, be sure to add Sta-Bil additive to the fuel mix----it will make the saw much easier to start.

While the Stihl MS180 might be a good limbing saw for many, I think you will run out of saw real quick if you want to do medium sized cutting. The MS271 is a good saw if budget does not allow a 261. A 271 will last a long, long time under non pro useage. I am an advocate of having a small saw like the 180, but not as an only saw.

I agree 100 percent a own a limbing saw and a saw with lots of power too

It shouldn't. I only bought my fuel from one place. A Phillips station that says they are ethanol free. But who knows who you can trust on these things anymore.

Very true. I like the fact that the place I get ethanol-free has a separate pump for it...otherwise you're getting the nozzle, and line full of ethanol from the previous customer. Still, there's no easy way to be 100% certain.

I pull up behind the line up of 60s and 70s muscle cars and fill my Gas can. No way those guys are going to be filling up at a place with Ethanol at non Ethanol rates. I saw a guy once put some gas in a little bottle, I assume for testing.

The one problem is that you'll find out very quickly, you need two saws for when you get one stuck....happens all the time.

That is what you have an extra bar and chain for.
